I'd say because they have an elitist attitude. Better question, what is the student allocation?

Never been to BDS. Sounds kind of like texas' DKR, though. The atmosphere in Austin is kind of dead and corporate, no college student fire.
Perhaps that's the price of success. It makes you dead inside.

Maybe Alabama fans pay more attention to the game as opposed to just screaming their heads of without knowing whats fully going on?

If you're in the older crowd and dont want people standing the entire game, ok i get it. But it absolutely infuriates me when I get told to sit down on 3rd down or a big offensive possession.

By far the dumbest post in this thread.

All of you are wrong. Its hard to get excited when you're beating the crap out of everyone. We don't get challenged very often. But we're as loud as TS when we play a good team. Ex LSU last year.

There are plenty of dominant programs with intimidating home atmospheres. For example, Florida has one of the best home-field advantages in CFB with the Swamp and nobody's had more success than them over the last 20 to 25 years. Getting amped up for opponents doesn't seem to be a problem for them.

Good point about being challenged. It also helps when you aren't as good and you have nothing to lose. The 2003 Oklahoma game at BDS was a good example. We had no business taking #1 ranked OU deep into the 4th quarter with a bad team that year. The atmosphere was incredible that night and almost willed us to a win. The crowd did the same thing in the first half of the 2010 Iron Bowl as well and the 2005 Florida game. Both were very loud games.

That's not it and you know it.
I have an odd feeling you've told me to sit down in BDS

Because their idea of noise is the gay sound of shaking a Pom-Pom... Seriously any man that carries a pompom to a game needs to turn in their man card

Nah, lousy response on my part, but I don't have a good answer for it. I am drunk and normally don't jump in to these threads. Guess I'm the a-hole. But in any event, I make as much noise as I can and it is infuriating when there are people around me that golf clap at best.

I now have a canned response when I don't want to deal with people on here.
