How would Shoop be a bad hire? Had top 25 defenses at Vanderbilt and had a top 5 D this year at Penn State..

Shoops may be a good hire but Penn St didn't exactly play a bunch of offensive juggernauts.
Maybe he does a great job if he ends up at LSU. Not like defensive success at Penn St translates 100% to the SEC.

The problem is there is so much interest in the position that Miles is taking his time to find the best candidate. this is a huge hire for him and his future at LSU. He isn't taking this lightly and is not going to rush it.
