I'm getting ready to travel to Gump Land from Georgia today. Thanks for the reminder of why I'm going. Strangely enough, we do better there against the Gumps than we do at home.

Stay in stadium until the band plays the Alma Mater then head out. I happily do it every time we go down to a game.

That's what I did, I refused to leave until after the alma mater. I didn't get back to Hammond until 12:30, then had to drive back to Georgia the next day.
I did see people starting to leave before the game was over. But even when I got back to my car in the Golf Course lot, it still took a while for me to get out of there. Once I got on Gourrier and Burbank though, it wasn't too bad. Just had to find the right road to get me on I-12 out of there.

We were trying to come up with a nick name for him today.

TD loves doing that, I'm sure something will come up. I've decided I'll just go with "Zion" for now, it's easier to type (and spell) than his last name.

By the way, I was there too. Wild did a great job on the BPB :pimp:, but missed the Monster Mash (homer to RF) in the 1st inning. And we were trying to figure out who #46 was, he's not on the roster at all. Probably a walk on.

Didn’t that dude not even charge the group of people that he picked up? Or am I misremembering your story from a few weeks back?

Either way, that’s lucky. I would definitely go the rental route to be safe.

It was me, LSUguy2023, and 4 Clemson fans. You're right, we all offered to pay him and he refused it, but I left the cash that I had, and some of the others did too. I still think of him as my Uber angel.

I’m afraid of that happening to my nephew.
I think it might be easier for him to rent a car for the day and park in the Hay Field.

I think that's a good choice. Renting a car might be more expensive, but he won't be stranded after the game.

I had trouble with this at Clemson. Even after game traffic was gone, we still couldn't get an Uber. An old man eventually showed up at 2:30 AM out of nowhere to take us back to our hotel. My advice: Don't do it.

What time do they start on Sunday?

For those keeping count, our first baseball melt of the season was in inning 2 today

Longer than I was expecting. We didn't have a 1st inning melt? Jay held on to control of the program for at least that long.
I do. I'll be there, and I have a pretty good record for games that I personally attend. I was at the Clemson game too.

Being from NC, I was fully expecting Duke to hire Josh Jordan as their new head coach. Jay basically said "I think he's ready to be a head coach, but I want to keep him, because he's so good." Duke ended up hiring the Wake Forest pitching coach, who is also a good choice, and that means Jay keeps the same coaching staff as last year.

VERY! but folks on here will still say we should run him off if we drop a meaningless mid-week

Or we lose a road series in April, or another team beats us out for #1... that's TD for you.

How blessed are we to have CJJ

Very blessed. We made the best possible decision on who would replace Paul, Jay is one of the smartest minds in the college game. LSU is basically the only job he would have left Arizona for. And he's only 48, and never leaving. We've already seen the results. 2 national championships in 4 years, and counting. Thank you Jay

Yeah, that'll do it. Don't give away free bases, it'll kill you.
Thanks Scuba. I'll see you tomorrow, I drove halfway today and am staying in Montgomery
Never bet against Jay. He knows how college baseball works, and how to get the most out of his players.

Hey! Glad to see you! I'm feeling a lot better, starting my trip to Louisiana tomorrow
I've been going to a tailgate at the Old Front Nine every year... but now it looks like LSU has made that a paid lot, so that immediately makes me want to park at a different lot. I've done that before, so I might as well do it again.
I'm only at one home game a year due to distance, so I'm glad you'll be in the stadium with me... one of my 102,320 closest friends

The main difference since 2019 that you'll notice has to be the LED lights, they can put on a show, especially at night, like this game will be.
Sounds good to me. I'm planning on being there Friday.
