WOW all that QB talent & 2 division titles & 1 was shared.... No Heisman's, no Natty's, no SEC ships, talk about underachieving university.

I thought the capital "F" was a nice touch.

Marcus Randall, Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, Matt Flynn, Jamrcuss, Mett, Burrow, Brennan > Arkansas QB's

Between Jones, Mallet, Wilson, Allen, and Jefferson, you have 2 guys who second team all conference and 1 guy who was first team all conference, who lasted 2 years in the NFL. So that's 3 all conference guys, not 5.

The LSU group has 3 second team, 2 first team, and Joe Burrow. It's not even an argument as to whose quarterbacks have had more success.

I believe I've been told that the state of Louisiana tends to put their best athlete at QB and they aren't always as polished because of this. Seems plausible.

Since 2000, LSU has had the following All-SEC QBs

Josh Booty
Rohan Davey
Matt Mauck
Jamarcus Russell
Joe Burrow

Since 2000, the following have been drafted in the NFL:

Josh Booty
Rohan Davey
Matt Mauck
Jamarcus Russell (#1 overall)
Matt Flynn
Jarrett Lee
Zach Mettenberger
Danny Etling
Joe Burrow (#1 overall)

Not sure you know what "always" or "shite" mean

This is the answer for "Why doesn't LA produce great QBs".

I played against Alabama and LSU defensive back commits who played quarterback in a spread zone offense. It was miserable to play against

Bert Jones? Tommy Hodson? Jamarcus Russell and Matt Flynn not from La but great at LSu.
You just proved OP’s point

None of us have heard of 2 of these guys. And if Matt Flynn is one of your greats, you’ve had a pitiful collection of quarterbacks

Fair enough. I was thinking of home state guys staying home.

By the way, Eric Berry was the toughest SOB to stop in high school. When he pulled it and went 80 yards on the first play I knew the game was over

And yet, still winning national championships while Arky coaching staff crashes motorcycles and bangs the help.

THREE future NFL QBs were at the Baton Rouge airport to greet saban when he arrived in town. Two of which ended up making all SEC before leaving LSU. It hasn't stopped since.

Did Mett even see the field at uga? joeyb wasn't anything at tOSU. He was below avg in '18 at LSU. Then with the right coaching and system at LSU well you know the rest.

Don't forget Josh Booty who made all SEC under saban.

Which ones haven't you hard of? Former NFL MVP and consensus AA Bert Jones? 4x All-SEC QB Tommy Hodson? #1 overall draft pick Jamarcus Russell?

Thank you sir. I knew someone would do the research. At one time not that very long ago LSU had the most active SEC QBs in the NFL.

No, he was sitting behind SEC record setting qb Aaron Murray and his man purse

Hodson left LSU as the SEC leader in passing yards.

I guess the person that said Mett came to LSU as a developed meant Mett was developed in juco.
