Baseball is not "diverse" enough so they refuse to cover it because its too white. A white male dominated sport is basically ignored. You notice hockey is in about the same situation.

I’m going to guess it also has to do with the general footprint of the viewership. Softball is more popular outside of the South than Baseball on the amateur level.
Of course it’s more popular, softball gets far more coverage and promotion than baseball. Baseball would be more popular than softball if it got the same promotion
