Why do some of y'all think the Big 10 would come south and get Clemson and FSU?

There is not a chance in hell of that happening.

The Big 10 wouldn't give FSU/Clemson the time of day.

They would be a terrible fit.

The Big 10 is very worried about academic profiles, in addition to money.

The reality is that they seem more likely to shoot for teams like UNC, UVA, GT and Duke if they move south than Clemson/FSU. Other than GT, those are also markets they don't have to fight the SEC for, unlike UF (big market) and South Carolina (small market).

The reality is Clemson doesn’t fit anywhere but the ACC or Big 12. They aren’t AAU, and they bring nothing new to the SEC. But here we everyday reading posts about why they fit the SEC.

The big 10 would love to have a school less than 80 miles from Athens. It could theoretically open up the state of Ga. even more for recruiting.

1.2k new residents move into Florida everyday. I would imagine similar migration is happening in SC, just at a smaller scale. A lot of them are coming from B10 country.

As great as the SEC is, they went west and also north. Bad fit for the last 4 expanded SEC teams.... yes.

They're very clearly a cultural fit.

Big 10 needs to get some better football schools. But I doubt they will do it bc they will want to protect their big 3.

Clemson is a perfect fit for the SEC. The culture of the Deep South makes it so. And given that every coach on the Clemson team actually played at Alabama or coached there back to Frank Howard makes them the perfect fit. FSU and Miami would literally beg to get into the SEC.

Auburn coach started thier football team. That's why they are tigers, they're purple bc they used Auburns old uniforms and the blue had faded to purple

Clemson and FSU make a better fit for the SEC geographically, culturally, and traditionally.

I'm interested to see Clemson's viewership numbers and revenue once they dip again. Will they even be top 25?

But why do you think WE need THEM?

We need them because 100% of the TVs in Alabama equals 25% of the TVs in Florida.
