re: Why do recruits want to play for Auburn?

Location, Location, Location. Not in shitty MS or West AL. Hour and a half from Atlanta, 4 hours from the Gulf Coast. You can not change locations with all those shitty schools.

I agree. It has more to do with football history than location. Even though AU's campus is far nicer than Starkvegas, I don't think that is the main factor for most kids (though it helps).

I mean you Bama fans say it all the time that Bama tradishun is why you get recruits. Tuscaloosa isn't exactly Los Angeles either you know. Do you think Bama's 485 national championships doesn't affect recruits?

I’m no fan of Auburn but they have good facilities, tradition, and administration with a desire to win. I never count those bastards out - that’s usually when they’ll burn you.

You can’t be serious. Your team has only one appearance in the SEC Championship Game, which you lost, and that was 22 years ago. In fact MSU has exactly one conference championship and that happened the same year the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. In fact this year was the first time since 1941 that your team beat a ranked team in the post season. Your team has never even sniffed a national championship. Your team has only appeared in 24 bowl games. And to top it all off your team has an overall losing record.

The only team in the SEC that’s as “shitty” as State is Vandy. That’s right, your team is the Vandy of the Western Division. Know your place and accept it.

Kids go to the best place (fit, coaches,etc) they can get or compete for significant playing time. For a lot of 3* and some 4* kids, that’s Auburn.
