When I saw 70’s pass rush, I thought, “umm Arch should have reversed field on him for a bigger gain.”

Like was he playing the equivalent of 2A, 4A or 6A football. I’d assume around 3A.
2A, which is one of the lowest classifications in LA. Just a bunch of slow white kids.

Looks like some 13 year olds recreation league defense.

Imber, calling the kids “slow” in that clip is generous. Blind maybe?

He played in a very weak select bracket. Mainly church schools and smart schools.hes way overrated

I heard he played in 3a something, but that looked like middle school.

No 2a select schools. Religious schools and smart schools very weak teams

Do any of the LA folks know/remember how Peyton/Eli looked in high school? Didn't they play at same high school/similar competition (or lack thereof)?
Just trying to figure out how Arch was such a big miss to this point. Is it just the insane media hype-cycle today vs. back in the day?

2A is the second lowest classification in La. Arch was only second string All State playing in that classification. Take away his last name & he's a nobody re recruiting .

Brock Vandergriff played in A-Private in Georgia. The highest level of high school football in GA when he played was AAAAAAA. He played at the "lowest level" of high school football in GA.
And?
Gunner played at the lowest level along with Herschel and Champ Bailey.Heck,Nick Chubb played at the 2nd lowest classification in one of the worst regions in the state.

We got a lot of players on the team that played 3A, but they were athletic freaks living in small towns.

I watched 3 games while Arch was in high school. Let me just say, I wasn't impressed.

Ok honesty here.
I saw tapes of Arch playing at Newman. Let's put it this way - anybody going to Texas should be plowing the field at Newman. There is no excuse.
So yeah, from the perspective, I didn't get it. Texas went for marquee value, and we're paying.

No, he didn't. Rabun was AA when he played; however, he could have been used as a similar example.

Yes they all went to the same high school. The competition wasn’t great. However the few teams that were against good teams that they played against offered varied results. Eli and Payton didn’t completely fall apart in those games. Your boy Arch on the other hand looked EXACTLY THE SAME in those games as he has looked against any team Texas has faced with a pulse. I’m not sure how much clearer I can make it.
