The big time recruits that come out of Alabama typically tend to stay in the state. However, I'm sure people were saying similar things when Winston went to FSU. Also, Louisiana puts out more talent at the high school level for the most part so high profile recruits leaving our state is more common

From a Bama fan. Makes sense.

Funny because they have been getting some of their best DB recruits from Fla.

Lsu fans have made death threats to their players, like Anthony Jennings and Logan Stokes.

And didn't Rasaan Evans get death threats for choosing Bama? I know people in Auburn sabatoged his family's business. Even went so far as to post a Craigslist free ad to get strangers to pillage the place.

Our kickers definitely were mistreated, but let's not pretend y'all are angels.

True enough to make you to feel defensive about it and post some shady shite done by others in order to lessen the embarrassment you feel about your own in this instance.

So I should feel the same embarrassment for calling recruits "Tiger Bait" when your own fan base does shite like that??

Actions are louder than words, my good man. And those actions (sexual assault, murder, assault, and destruction of property) done in the name of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team is a lot worse IMHO.

You shouldn't be casting stones in a glass house, so don't get pissy when your shitty thread gets derailed by someone like me

Interesting take on the OP.

Again, this is just common deflection. If you want to take about all the misdeeds done by Alabama fans feel free to make a thread about it. To post this in here, repeatedly, just shows your need to defend yourself and your fanbase. Why? I don't know, you tell me.

I can cast all the stones I want. My fan bases doesn't speak for me. You aren't derailing anything, giving yourself a bit to much credit there hombre. I just want to talk about why LSU fans on this website react with such vitriol when an Student Athlete pursues a career outside the state lines.

Everything that came out about this was from RE and his dad. His dad begged for attention the entire time and even after he signed. They would have said anything. Show me something that an actual Auburn did/said to them then we can compare it to Bama fans' actions. A free Craigslist post doesn't prove it's an Auburn fan.

Look

We all pretty much live in the South, which means we all live in pretty shitty states

I'll never understand someone living in Bama making fun of someone living in LA, or someone living in Arky making fun of someone living in MS, and so on

It's truly ignorant, though I guess being a total hypocrite is the price one pays for rustling jimmies, no?

I love college football, but it is followed by some of the biggest idiots on the planet, and a lot of them reside on this here site unfortunately.

Anthony Jennings death threats

I was wrong about LSU fans making death threats to Stokes. Apparently that was angry Bama fans after he pulled down Reggie Ragland's pants during a game. Yeah, we are crazy as hell.

That's a nasty looking wedgie.
Here's the gif, since that was the funniest thing I've seen during a game.

So Bama players have never received death threats from idiotic fans?

Of course I'm not saying that. I can name two kickers that got them. What I was saying is , we aren't alone in our lunacy.

Because you generalize a whole fanbase for internet bullying your players but at the same time you are part of a fan base who sends death threats to its own team's kickers.

My fan bases doesn't speak for me.

You are tied forever with the Crimson Tide and its fan's poor actions whether you like it or not. That's just the unfortunate reality

I mean besides the fact it's the worst state in the Union, why wouldn't they want to stay? I suppose you're supposed to take pride in last place. But I'll leave you with a quote from LA's state treasurer - who we all know is doing an outstanding job - on dethroning MS:

quote:

State treasurer John Kennedy balks at the findings, "I think this article in Politico sucks, Louisiana is not the worst state in America!"

Well, there you have it folks. Disregard my previous statement.

But in all seriousness, it's dumb to get angry when a local kid wants to go elsewhere for college. Not everyone wants to live in a bubble their whole lives.
