Why do you care what grown people wear? I've never understood why adults wearing jerseys trigger others so much.

I have a brand new 'Smokey Gray' UT jersey hanging in the closet. I won it in a pick'em contest.
I don't wear it, because I find jerseys to be hot and uncomfortable.

most of the people i see wearing jerseys are wearing them with khaki shorts. they've basically permeated into frat culture the past 10-15 years
I think it's a lot weirder when I see people decked out in their gameday clothing to run weekend errands than it is to see someone wearing a jersey to a football game.

Jerseys are to honor the player past or present. Putting on the Jerseys tells the world that I support my team but more specifically I appreciate this player.
I don't typically wear a jersey but I don't see any issue if someone wants to.
