This is why I think Venables will be great. He’s been under bob stoops and Dabo for multiple NC runs. He knows how to implement a working model and how to maintain a top program.

Everyone is DVing you while ignoring how a really bad HC position can ruin your career. Yes the pay is higher, but your job security/career often aren't worth the risk. If Pruit stays a DC, he is an all-time great. Now he will never coach again.

No I would not if the situation was one that has me looking for another job in 3 years.. Kirby had plenty of chances to become a head coach and he waited and waited until his perfect job came open.. Most of these coordinators are making over a million dollars, you act like these guys are making minimum wage.

Lol 95% of the coordinators that leave Bama for the first head coach job have already been fired.. Then they are back at Bama as a analyst making $35,000 a year.. You are the clown that will take any job and think you will make it great.. You are just like these coaches arrogant as they come, huge ego that think you are so different and quickly realize you are not..

Because he cheated not because he was bad at coaching

For a contract that guarantees you will never have to work again unless you want to. 5 year 3 million+ contract for a PE grad is pretty good.

We don't know if that's the case. I'm pretty sure other, probably smaller, schools put out feelers for Smart when he was still at Bama and he politely, and quietly, declined. Just because it didn't make the news doesn't mean other schools didn't come after high-profile coordinators.
