Aggies weren't interested in road games to Spokane starting at 10 PM.

A&M would have never recovered from such a terrible move.

Yup, that would have been it.

I shudder to think of how things would have turned out for us had we meekly gone west. Nightmare fuel.

It didn't take long for a "PAC 12 should have targeted Aggies thread" for an Aggie to slam Mizzou.

It shows that those weirdos get complemented and still feel inadequate as Texas Junior. Slamming us doesn't make you excepted by the traditional SEC teams. Neither does getting served by us on a consistent basis but that's another story

2012-present:

Team 1: 30-25

Team 2: 42-14

Team 3: 41-16

See if you can name the three teams.

Last 6 games
2007- MIZ 40 A&M 26
2010- MIZ 30 A&M 9
2011- MIZ 38 A&M 31
2012-A&M 59 MIZZ 29
2013-MIZ 28 A&M 21
2014-MIZ 34 A&M 27

Losing A&M as our West rival cost us a near guaranteed W. ...

So, you slam us for our records since we've joined the SEC, yet conveniently leave out the fact that of the three of us (texas/ou/us), we've finished the highest in this span, defeated OU when they were the big12 champ, and are currently on the brink of a game that's eclipsing the red River shootout not only in the state of Texas, but also nationally?

You're a fricking idiot

Yall will have to accept one day they told you no. It's been five years now, time to face facts.

We weren't the prettiest girl in the bar, but we were the only one willing to go home with you.

If irc, TAMU and FSU were our top pick(s) in '92.

In '92, TAMU said that they wouldn't join the SEC, because Texas didn't want to join. What kind of pansies need permission from their primary rival to join a conference?

Not true. Texas politics kept us out and could have again if they were in session this last round.

The kind that have politicians who meddle with their conference alignment. The Big 12 in its current form is the proof of that.

The only reason we got the political cover to do it this time was because:

1. The LHN (basically we argued effectively "they got their toy so we want ours")

2. The Texas AD promised to keep the Big 12 together at least for a little while

Why don't you fly to Oklahoma City and experience the nostril searing stench of the industrial stockyard on your way to the game. Also about 75% of Oklahoma is Indian Nation land which doesn't even pay taxes to support the shitty OU school.

Texas regards anybody else that is south of the Mason Dixon line as cross eyed, gap toothed, cousin lovers. They may join the Big 10 or PAC 12 someday but they will never associate themselves with the SEC.

Nah. The SEC is in Missouri. The Big 12 is in West Virginia. The west coast PAC 12 is in Colorado.

Don't forget the Big Ten, a classically "Midwest" conference, now has Rutgers and Maryland.

I'm still having a hard time seeing Nebraska-Rutgers without thinking "oh wow, the Scarlet Knights scheduled a good OOC!"

A&M is one of the most conservative universities in the country. The Pac 12 would be the worst fit possible.

Ann Richards was the Texas Governor at that time. She was a Baylor grad hack who screwed Texas A&M over every chance she got.

She used her power to make sure there was a Big 12 and that Baylor was in it.

We had no chance.
