But it's as simple as that. Neither defense could stop each other in UGA-LSU. The difference came in a muffed punt by Beckham.
Ole Miss, Mett had an awful first half that they couldn't overcome.
And Bama was just a better team.

As an Aggie you should know it is tough to win games in the SEC without a defense.

Mett and Landry aren't but they are still showing out as rookies. I left out other guys like Blue who has showed some flashes when Foster has been out.

Mettenberger: 3000+ yards 20+ touchdowns
Hill: 1400 yards rushing
Landry and Beckham: 1100+ yards receiving

Because LSU had to play UGA last year on the road while other west teams got easier schedules
