Any sensible coach would not want to work for the slime ball Alleva.

Fisher averages a 10-2 season even with a 5-6 season. That's impressive.

Nothing I said was wrong. College Station is a better town for his family needs.

Saban yes. Jimbo NO

He's not worth bankrupting a program. $7.5m would have bankrupted LSU. It's a drop in the bucket for A&M.

I'll never understand why fans care if a coach makes a lot of money. It's not their money, if the big donors are paying who cares.

In LSU's case, they need to donors to fund their existence so they don't shut their doors. Tying up money in a premier coach isn't possible, so they had to get a guy that no one else would hire for cents on the dollar.

Most power 5 teams could pay that if they really wanted to. Most power 5 teams just aren't stupid enough to get duped into overpaying like that.

Jimbo must have stuck a quarter in A&M because he sure as hell played them.

What do any of y’all care about what a school pays a coach. It’s not your money or affecting you.

Jimbo or orgeron, who would you rather have?

Case closed. Jimbo > orgeron and didn’t cost me a dime.

The market says otherwise; he just got a contract for that.

Just because someone got a contract doesn't mean he's worth it. Ask Florida if their last two coaches were worth their contracts.

Remains to be seen. If he delivers it will be a worthy investment.

He's making about as much as Saban and he will never accomplish what Saban has.

I'm not saying it's a bad hire. It's not. He's a decent head coach and I wouldn't mind him being at LSU. I just don't think he's worth THAT kind of money. He's not THAT good of a coach if he goes 6/6 in the ACC with the talent Florida State has. LSU just went 9 and 3 in the SEC west with Ed O as head coach and Danny Etling as QB. You telling me he doesn't have a QB on the roster to replace Francois that is at least as good as Danny etling?

It's not so much the money/year that he is getting that's so crazy. It's agreeing to a 10 year contract with a guy that just went 6/6 at florida State..

Also very close to Houston for potential medical emergencies with his son.

I cringe when I see one of y’all post this like it had ANY bearing on the decision Jimbo made. First of all, Jimbo could probably have had his son placed on a booster’s private jet to Mass General if he wanted to before he took the A&M job. Second, don’t post this like YOU as a fan gave 2 fricks about Jimbo’s son’s personal well being and health before today.

Last year FSU was competive. This year, not so much. And money. Lots and lots of money.
