Then you are that ignorant - or just delusional - after all if you insist on denying that LSU Athletic Revenues do not rank top 10 nationally.

I mean you were rambling on and on about how A&M didn't have revenue, even though USA Today puts us at number one in the country. You just ramble on and on with falsehoods. It's cute.

This is what he said:

Actual successful university sports programs like University of Texas, Alabama and LSU are top 10 ranked nationally in generation of sports revenues. A&M not so much. LSU is a like a business that operates in the black while A&M is like a company that loses money but stays afloat because owners keep contributing good money after bad.

No one in the country earns more than A&M. Are all LSU fans this stupid? I don't get why y'all want to argue this.

Aggot7 lives in fantasy land! Always has. At least you can blame Age for Sarge.

You’re simply stupid, Jimbo is not worth 75mil. Don’t worry, you will see next year. Aggies will start with this dumb expectation thinking they will be in the playoffs next year.

Different time and we weren't going to piss away $75 million.

Its an absurd risk aggie is taking, but when you haven't won anything in 30 yrs I guess it makes sense.

Excuse me sir, but it’s the aggies that come on here and think they can speak for all LSU fans by saying dumb shite. We already moved on and have coach O. You have a very good point in saying it’s timing with Jimbo cause it is. LSU is smart enough to not put 10 years 75mil dollar deals into a coach. Especially if it’s not Saban, Saban is the only coach that is worth that kind of money and maybe Dabo, but that’s it.

Bingo. Too many take this personally as though the agent, coach and administration directed this at them.

It is a business deal and there us not really any loyalty to a school if the money is right. Some coaches reach a point where they are not going to jump, simply because they don't have the desire or energy to build a program again. Outside of that, money talks and EGO gets involved.

Good hire by TAMU and it only makes the SEC better.

And he also wasn’t in the middle of an embarrassing 5-6 or whatever season.

And maybe Dabo? This is how you make it obvious don't know what you're talking about. First off, Saban is probably worth $25 million a year to Alabama when it's all said and done. The number of out of state tuition checks going to Alabama from the last decade proves that alone. Given Clemson's profile before Dabo, he's probably worth $30 million.

LSU fans being butthurt over this is so strange. I mean I sort of get it, but it's still strange. A&M paid for a coach that LSU wanted, but LSU couldn't land. You lost to Troy. Orgeron is a terrible coach and is probably only worth $200k a year. A&M pays $2 million more a year than the going rate for one of the 4 active coaches with a natty. Over the 10 years of the contract this will probably regress to the average and will seem like a bargain. At the same time, LSU pays $4.3 million more a year than anyone else would pay for Orgeron. Whoop dee fricking do.

What swamp kittens fail to understand is that their program isn't special. Without Saban's players, they would have a longer natty drought than Ole Miss. A mediocre coach at LSU generates the same results as a mediocre coach anywhere else in the south. If Leach goes to Arkansas, LSU will have the 5th best coach in the SEC West, and the results will match that statistic. Nothing about LSU is special, or magical, or deserved just for existing. You didn't want to pay for a good coach because you can't afford one, and other schools are willing to pay for a good coach because they can afford one.

Once your fan base gets over itself and learns to accept these facts, maybe things will change. Until then, keep up with your loser's mentality, the rest of the division will appreciate it.

College Station is a small "College Town Hamlet." Baton Rouge is a large metropolitan city that just happens to have a University located there.

Big difference.

BR is no different that other large cities. Has it's "Good" areas and "Bad" areas. The "Bad" area in North BR is no where near LSU.

BTW, I used to live in Houston and shoot in Archery Tournaments at A7M. I can drive from Baton Rouge to New Orleans faster than from College Station to Houston. (More Hospitals closer and faster in BR-NOLA)

BTW, Jimbo Fisher was signed, sealed and almost delivered to LSU in 2015 for 6 Mill a year, but the University President (F.King Alexander) nixed the entire deal and then Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal went to bat for Miles to get another year. Fact..............

Hypothetical: You walk into McDonald's looking for your next gig. Interview goes great, they ask how much you're looking to get paid, you say "$60/hour". They show you the door.

Why didn't you go to McDonald's?

At 7+ million a year he'd be expected to win a title at LSU and at least 2 sec titles within 5 years.

Aggy will be thrilled to remain 4th in the west.

He knows he's not elite so he took the easy job.

I was refuting and rejecting your ludicrous troll that “LSU’s money problems are well known” suggesting that LSU Athletics / LSU Football had money problems. That was an untrue troll unless you are also as ignorant as you are an arse. As I said, has been and remains a top 10 producer of revenue.

My comparative posts was that while Aggie revenues have not only improved but actually surpassed LSU’s in extremely recent history, LSU and Alabama and Texas have all been top 10 revenue generators for a very long time while Aggies are only recently ascended to high ranking revenues.

Congrats on your new coach. While his ethics are questionable, he’s most likely he best coach with any skins on the wall that Aggy could have attracted. It is amazing that Aggies were willing to guarantee so much cash to land him. In 2015 and 2016, when LSU was recruiting Jimbo, I would have personally supported his hiring as a replacement for Miles in hopes to jump start the offensive problems if our DC could have also been retained - even though many LSU fans believed he was overrated and had sufficiently questionable ethics to justify hiring for such a high price that LSU would be stuck with Jimbo regardless of results. Even though I personally considered Jimbo a worthwhile gamble to replace Miles, I wouldn’t have supported hitching the LSU Football wagon to Jimbo for as much guaranteed money as Jimbo wanted at that time to make the move. Aggies were willing to guarantee even more than he had asked from LSU and power to them if that’s a price they are willing to pay in hopes of boosting their football program to becoming as successful as LSU’s.
