Yeah but only 85 students get to participate in that.

We have tens of thousands of of them humping every week.

One minute Gill is up there in the press box calling out for the media which player made a tackle, ran the ball or was injured. With no PA system, this was helpful for them. The next minute he is gone and suited up on the sideline, ready to get in the game for Bible.

You'd think this would be a topic of conversation in the press box and work its way into their coverage, given the injury situation for A&M.

There is no mention of anyone replacing Gill in the press box, so who knows what these writers thought they saw on the field. Which could explain some discrepancies in their stories, if they were actually even at the game, at all.

I was talking about back then.

When the atomic bomb was developed discussion arose about where the safest place in the USA was to survive the bomb. Apparently, Iowa was chosen because "It would take 20 more years to get there". I guess it could have been North Dakota but Iowa actually had people who lived in their state.

Even Tom Leher conceded that Alabama would have the bomb (er, "device") before Iowa.

Yes, before Auburn invented walking into the stadium, players were parachuted onto the field causing many injuries and sometimes would land blocks away if winds were high. Some industrious coaches had their teams scale the walls of the stadium, but they were then often too exhausted to play afterwards.

Hats off to Auburn!

Auburn also invented standing in line. Before then, everyone just sort of milled around.
