Auburn is the Olympics of the SEC. They're only relevant every 4 years.

Well he took a known domestic abuser and gave him a scholarship just like two or three years ago. It's laughable how the outrage machine picks and chooses its spots.

9+ year history with a coach... Bring in recruit with a documented past problem and kick him off after an allegation (that was ultimately proven false if I'm not mistaken?)... And there *was* outrage about Saban bringing him in... it just isn't of the same magnitude because it didn't basically amount to enablement.

I love how Bammers can't handle the truth so they default to name calling.

Well let’s see if you are a hypocrite

I assume you also say nothing happened with Smith either and Urban should be in the clear. After all, Smith was never charged by the cops either

What Courtney did was wrong, but both Courtney and his girlfriend were arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and 3rd degree harassment and both asked to have the charges dropped on the other. And, of course, nobody covered it up or lied about it - it was written about and discussed on forums like this ad nauseum for his entire career. It played out openly in the media and in the courts.

When Alabama signed Jonathan Taylor (which I still to this day do not understand), he was immediately kicked off the team as soon as his domestic violence incident occurred at Alabama. It was then proven that the girl made it all up and he was completely innocent, but we publically kicked him off the team anyway. Basically the exact opposite of what Urban did with Smith after the 2nd incident in 2015.

So, this thread is stupid.

Well in Smiths case, the wife didnt ask to have the charges dropped

The cops actually just didnt find anything credible to even make an arrest, much less bring charges

And if the cops are aware and investigating, how is that a cover up? Just because daddy media doesnt know?

I don't really care - this is an OSU decision, but the two things are nothing alike. A player who did something stupid 1 time vs a coach with a pregnant wife and the head coach either lying about it or at the very least being willfully ignorant as his wife tells the victim she is "scared for her"...............silliness.

He pushed her down when she was slapping on him.

There were witnesses.

Her dad even supported Upshaw.

I never said it was. Urban's biggest problem, outside of all that, is saying he didn't know anything about the 2015 incident and had never heard of it. Considering he and his wife addressed the 2009 issue with counseling and personal outreach, his wife texted back and forth over and over with her and Shelley Meyer's deep rooted involvement at Ohio State and with her husband.......................it would be shocking if he had no idea.

But I don't really care if he is fired or not. That's OSU's call.

I mean, if he did know, then that's a pretty big and stupid frick up. And for basically no reason at all. Just a monumentally big self sabotage.

Which is the trash that is alabama football in a nutshell.

It's pretty hilarious you think that is an exonerating point.
