Because now teams want a home and home because they say neutral site games are an advantage for the SEC

Because the northeastern US is producing more and more talent every year out of the high school ranks and this gives kids in that region a chance to watch LSU without paying hundreds of dollars for a plane ticket ?

The ACC and SEC have created a de facto partnership as the lone power conferences to maintain an eight-game scheduling model entering the College Football Playoff.

Naturally, these two will play each other in nonconference action, and the momentum is already shifting that way.

An SEC source said about four or five teams from each league are discussing potential home-and-home matchups for some time in the next 6-7 years. These would be new matchups aside from the permanent end-of-year rivalries such as Florida-Florida State, Georgia-Georgia Tech, Clemson-South Carolina and Louisville-Kentucky.

I'm just wondering why anyone would think it is shameful to agree to a home and home with another P5 team.

Hell Michigan State opened their season AT Western Michigan this year. And they are a Top 5 team. Was that shameful?

When it was scheduled I thought the same thing. Now it will be on national TV and people in the Northeast will be paying attention and will get to see Buga in all his glory. Can't possibly be a bad thing.

I am still scratching my head as to what Alabama gained by playing at Duke back in 2009?

How is this shameful? Syracuse is in the ACC. ACC and SEC teams frequently schedule home and home games.

You act like LSU agreed to play at Jackson State.

Bama fans so angry at the world right now.

Carrier Dome

Despite being named after the AC company, the carrier dome doesn't have air conditioning. Seems like an odd Arrangement.
