We went 0-8, that should and did cost people their jobs.
Taver and Ash got told to look around, Hauser was let go.

Rutgers ranked fourth in the nation in points allowed per game (14.2), sixth in rush yards allowed per game (95.2), 10th in total defense (311.6 yards per game) and tied for third in rushing touchdowns allowed (6).
Yeah, it was mostly in the Big East, but still, you have to know a little about defense to rank that high nationally.
Is he the answer? CBB thinks he can do the job. We'll see.

Derek Dooley had 7 assistant coaches turnover right before his last season. High turnover in 1 year is never a good thing. Bert is done imo.

So he either does a poor job of hiring (asking folks to leave), folks hate working for him or he is in over his head and forces folks out.
When you have that much turnover it is typically a warning sign, no way to spin it into a positive.

wait so let me get this straight, when you have a terrible defense you shouldn't make changes in the staff?
Posted on 2/23/14 at 10:16 am to KSGamecock
Why would you stay at rkansas when you have a chance to upgrade to Arkansas state or FIU?

It's no big secret that Ash and Shannon weren't on the same page. It's also no big secret that that Arkansas needs a big upgrade in talent. Shannon is a good recruiter, Ash, not so much.
Ash is now gone and Shannon got a promotion and raise. Is it really that difficult to see what happened?

Let's exam successful coaches at Arkansas brought to you by war allude
Bracket one former nfl coaches who achieved success at arkansas
Lou holtz
Bobby Petrino
Old school Hugo bezdik well cause he was a badass
Bracket two former natives who coached Arkansas and were successful
Houston Nutt
Ken Hatfield
Unsuccessful arkansas coaches who were successful at other colleges bracket 3
Danny ford
John l smith
Native Arkansas coaches who got away but should not have
Paul the bear Bryant
Gus malzahn
Right now it is safe to say that bert is in bracket 3 and if the current AD was wanting to hire a successful coach then he should have pulled candidates from bracket 1 or 2. Stupid is as stupid does and for the 5 - 6 million arkansas is spending on long and Bielema--- they are super stupid

Check his track record, he has a pretty stout record of hiring guys. He's had multiple assistants get head coaching gigs.
