Why Big 10 ain’t the SEC

We saw a defensive struggle last night between the second best defense in the Big10 and the 5th best defense in the SEC. The SEC team won having been bloodied by good teams every week where OSU played 10 rent a wins , 2 teams with a pulse one who beat them.
For the rest of time Ohio State fans are going to say they lost because of a lack of quality depth…and they will probably be right…there is one thing for certain, OSU does not have the talented depth required to win when it’s meaningful. They recruit well, it has to be development AND culture. Whichever it is they would lose 4-5 games a year playing a SEC schedule with the lack of talented depth they readily claim is the reason they lose big games outside of conference.
It may be wrong to call it talented depth. They recruit well. It’s more undeveloped depth and that’s a cultural issue because it’s been going on for years and years and from coach to coach. Last night was a prime example. The 3rd string QB was completely unprepared to play. Anyone would have struggled in his position coming in as a true freshman…. But it was painfully obvious that they hadn’t worked with that kid at all during the year…. They had no idea what his strengths and weaknesses were. He was a 4 star recruit…highly recruited out of high school. Coming off a month of bye weeks. That’s the cultural difference that sets the SEC apart.
Ohio State fans will be right when they whine about injuries and opt outs…they simply do not have the talented DEVELOPED depth to win a big game OOC against teams that play against other teams all season long who are talented, deep and coached by staffs that can develop talents. That’s what “ It juts means more” means…

It’s not Missouri’s fault that Ohio state had opt outs. If you have guys that don’t want to play for you anymore, that’s a you problem.
It’s also not Missouri’s fault that the qb got injured. It is very lucky, though.
Still have to play who’s in front of you

Missouri had multiple defensive starters out. Our losses should have been a bigger deal.

The QB got injured not because of some freak play. He got sacked and twisted up. Man's game, either wrap that shite up or be viewed as the next Jay Cutler on a a peloton on the sidelines.
