I am 100% the same. If have a passing interest in other sports but I am not emotionally invested. I've tried but I just can't make myself care about anything else other than college football.

Growing up in Alabama, football-only fans tend to be either obnoxious bandwagoner trash and/or never played sports. Their opinions are cheesy and stupid, and they like to horn in on events they're supposed to not care about so they don't feel left out.

Well, I played sports. In fact, the irony of this is, I played baseball for 9 years. I just don't care anything about watching college baseball or basketball. I don't feel I'm obnoxious. Heck, I'm nice...even to Auburn fans! lol

Depends on the fan base you grow up into. Texas and Oklahoma high school baseball is huge. OU was the football school (before T-Boone invested), OSU was basketball and baseball. Wrestling is a big high school sport here, I’m sure the SEC doesn’t give a flying frick about it.
If your school was good at baseball then you’re more than likely a fan. Nothing wrong with your opinion, I mean I hate watching golf but love playing it. I hate the NBA, but only watch Okstate basketball and some big games. Lots of us are fans of college athletics in general, especially if your school if fairly well rounded.

I agree. I was all conference, all city in basketball growing up. And I used to be a huge LSU basketball fan and could care less for the last 20 years. Only care about football these days...

See the problem Wayne is that people who really can’t stand baseball usually don’t take the time to post in a THREAD ABOUT BASEBALL. At least those that are moderately intelligent. That appears to leave you out.

I’m biased against FOGs for several reasons, but primarily due to my old football coach. He used to say anybody who didn’t play football was “not a real man.” Wrestling, track, baseball, basketball…all pussy sports to him. It’s such an idiotic take and viewpoint. Some of you probably agree with him. Meanwhile, most football players wouldn’t make it through 20 minutes of a wrestling practice/workout and would get their arse whipped on the mat. Coincidentally, our HS got two of the old mats when Bama had to fold their wrestling program.

Why would you insult my intelligence? You don't know me. I wouldn't insult yours. I've actually taken up for LSU fans on other threads. I only posted my opinion because opinions were asked for. I did not invade or thrust anything on anyone.

Not true...when we have even been moderately good at the other sports, I didn't watch them then. I just don't like watching other sports. And uh, why would you call me an idiot, you don't know me and I didn't call you any harsh names.

It's the Rant way to attack. State your opinion if you want, you obviously have the right to. Just know chances of being attacked by anonymous people are there and just roll with it.
