Why attack someone because they like football and NOT other sports?

Not that anyone needs a good reason to bash someone on this forum, but I got stoned because I made the comment; I'd rather watch paint dry on a wall than any other sporting event besides college football. And of course, I'm a UGA fan, so they assumed it's only because UGA is on top in cfb and our basketball & baseball teams are bad.
But that's not the case at all. Some folks like steak and not chicken. Some like dodges and not fords. Why is it so strange that someone likes one particular sport and not others? Just curious...

You said something like this and expected not to get a reaction?
I think softball is more entertaining than baseball (and the only entertaining women's sport), and couldn't care less about baseball at any level, but I know baseball fans are going to go insane when I say that.

Thank you for making my point. Someone asked for an opinion on another thread and I gave it. What was so wrong with that? I wasn't trying to antagonize anyone.

Well, it wasn't anything I wasn't expecting...I figured I'd get gang-stomped. Just wondered why everyone thinks that the only reason someone would like football is because their football is good and their others sports are not and they are trying to rub everyone's nose in it or something. But that's not always the case. I didn't like other sports even before our football team became what it is now.

I insisted on nothing...they had asked for opinions from other posters and I gave mine. I was not trying to antagonize or rub anyone's nose in anything.

You're right RZ. Shoot, I seen on a thread where a Texas fan got bashed for putting down his OWN team...still haven't figured out the logic in all that...lol.

Well, I have a relative that watches anything with wheels/engines that race. NHRA, NASCAR, Isle of Man, Supercross…..and won’t watch any sporting events such as: football, basketball, baseball, boxing, mma, bass fishing…….whatever
I make sure I’m not visiting him when there is ball game I’d like to watch.
