I think really the only reason to bash Nate right now is his insistence, or inability, to adjust his gameplan to the team he has this year.
He watched last night from the sideline as his team shot themselves out of the game. He continued to play Davison long minutes despite him having an absolutely terrible game. He didn't adjust his gameplan to take advantage of UK's big man having three fouls relatively early in the game, and seemed okay with them not attacking the rim when literally nothing was going in from outside.
Also, when a commentator says things like this:
"I've seen better basketball at a state fair.", it isn't a good look.

The "I want it, and I want it now" society. No patience for anything. Fire everyone and everybody!!!

Then he went 13-14 last season.

I agree but just that he has been able to make this Alabama basketball program relevant again he needs to be getting more credit than criticism

He’s disappointed at time this season (or the team has), but overall he will probably be fine. Recruiting certainly isn’t the issue as far as bringing in highly rated guys. Some might miss, some might need more time to develop than fans want to give, and some don’t seem like great fits for the style.
As I said in another thread, my biggest concern if I were a Bama fan, is why are there so many games Nate says there are issues with effort?

I agree, but that doesn't remove him from warranted criticism. He's earned that criticism this season, and you can recognize what he's done while also questioning the current state of the program.
It doesn't mean what we are seeing is an irreversible trend, but it is something to watch going forward.

The point is if Auburn tards are going to bash Oats then they need to have a closer look at Pearl. That's all.

He doesn't seem very flexible with his strategy, and that's partly why he loses games he shouldn't be losing. This 3s or layups or nothing strategy is too rigid. There is nothing wrong with a short, uncontested pullup 2-point jumper when the 3s aren't falling or the layups are not available, but that is anathema to Oats.
Kentucky last night took away the driving lanes that Bama's guards, especially Quinerly and Shackelford, usually exploit for layups. That left Bama resorting to 3s, and we all saw the result.

Auburn had the most wins in the conference over the past 5 years and that was before we went on this hellacious run.

This is an awful comparison. Barbee left Pearl with three star players that couldn’t have started anywhere else in the SEC.
Avery Johnson left Oats with several veteran four star players and a 5 star in Petty.
Now that they’re gone he has a 4-6 losing record in the SEC.

Auburn did the same thing. Bama shot way under their season average from 2 in the second game. They shot better from three, which is what got them within 2, but when they cooled off Auburn quickly pushed the lead back to 20.

We have 2 good/aggressive offensive players (and honestly it's been 1 most of conference play). We aren't diverse. We don't have depth of offensive talent. It is what it is.
