601 you killing us dawg. You always make it look like we're so desperate for attention. Don't mean to sound ugly & i know you mean well... but no one wants to hear it.

If Al. had won last week I would have more want to watch this game. I think Miss State has come a long way and doesn't get the National Credit as an SEC team they deserve. I feel that Al. will come out and play their best game this weekend because of last week. I will flip back and forth, but as an LSU man I don't want Al. to lose. Sorry

but if you want to see two very strong defenses tonight this should be a great game for you to watch.
Miss state might have a good defense. However alabama's defense is a joke. They just gave up 400 yards to the worst offensive team in the sec

No you will see an offensive unit tonight that is as bad, if not worse... maybe a better rushing team but not as good passing team... which plays into to Bama's hands.

We're conflicted. You guys are our new favorite SEC team besides ourselves.
Plus we're a little lost in the wilderness and not sure what to expect out of our players from week to week this year.

I'm pumped. Love night games in BDS - gives me enough time to get sloppy drunk.

yep...I actually think they deserve to win for what they did to Auburn.
God bless Dan Mullen.

There was very little talk the week of the LSU/Alabama game either. All the talk on the board the last 2 weeks has been about Auburn.

Im with you 601
Its good you do take pride in State and take up for us. We have far to many MSU fans that are scared to "get out of line" with other more succesful fanbases, but when someone says "because you are Mississippi state" and when a Georgia fan talks shite, you have every right to defend your team. Most people are not dumb and they realize MSU is much improved and building a pretty good team so don't let dumbass Flamers bother you. Thats just gonna happen (it does to every team). Here's to a good game and I hope we can pull the upset. In order to get Dumbasses to stop saying "because your Miss. St." we have to start winning games like this one today, but Ill say it again, there's nothing wrong with defending your team from complete and total Morons that do nothing but flame in just about every thread.

Good posts. I believe miss state can win this game since bama has no offensive identity and a spotty defense. Prolly be a low scoring game, unless miss state attacks us vertically. If they do I would say it is an easy victory. However I am not sure miss state can be consistent enough in the passing game.
But alabama can't score much either.

Not sure if you Bama fans realize this, but we have the EXACT same record as you guys. We are ranked 17th in the nation.
I know we dont have a great past, but we are having one of our best seasons in years.
I hope your team takes us for granted as much as you Bama fans are.
I hear ya bro. State could very well pull the upset. But the bottom line is that Bama fans will never be pumped for a State game like we will be for a Big 6 game.

FWIW Mississippi State is coming off their bye week and are as healthy as we have been all season long. I look forward to tonight's game. Our offense is going to have to score a defensive or special teams TD if we are going to have a chance to win tonight.

Alabama is a 13 point favorite and we have not lost a game in Bryant Denny since LA Monroe.
"Because you are MS St" is the appropriate response to any State fan until you prove otherwise. Here is to a good game.

I don't think Miss St has the O to beat Bama. I hope I am wrong but I see Bama taking a lowing scoring game. 20-10ish
Neither did LSU and they racked up like 400 yards. All it will take is them getting a decent game offensively, with our guys playing soft and our stupid offense deciding to throw the ball on first down.

I think the main reason is we're a little bummed out by the two losses. Most of us didn't expect to go undefeated, but I know I hoped to make it to Atlanta again.
I'm still excited to watch the games and 10-2 would still a good year (some teams have a NC with two losses), but some of the luster is gone from this season.
That being said, Bama wins this game 38-3.
