There are alot of things about big time college athletics that make me sick. Auburn definitely has crossed the line. I see hypocrisy in all angles. But it also bothers me we will demonize a kid for dirty play on the field but make another recruit who feels it's ok to assault females sexually without their permission the savior of our offense. College athletics has gotten out of control on so many levels.

"Family" + "God thing" + most publicized potential cheating scandal in recent memory involving a star player that blows kisses to his worshipful congregation before snaps isn't a recipe for sympathy.

Awesome, you can repeat the same unoriginal thought as someone else.
That "unoriginal thought" happens to be a proven, verified and universally accepted FACT. So get over it. You can't spin that one.

Yes, Auburn has gotten plenty of favorable calls (and favorable no-calls)
As mad as i was about the terrible rulings that spotted you guys 14 points when we played, it wasn't even the one that made me the angriest.
It was the sack Fairley had on Mallett that began with him grabbing him by the horsecollar, then shoving him down, then deliberately rolling on top of Mallett after he was down.
By the way, nothing has been "unproven" either.

Mostly because ... the SEC has won the last four national championships and established itself fairly as the premier football conference in the country.
Now the Barners have severely tarnished all that--and it's going to get a lot worse.
Previously, they were just another SEC rival.
Now, I can't say "frick you, Auburn!" enough.
Add to that: Fairley is a piece-of-shite, cheap-shotting thug. That premeditated head spear on Murray should have gotten him suspended for the season.
Add to that: Another corrupt, hypocritical "Gimme the money!" fundamentalist preacher with an arrogant kid--and they both think they're above the law ...
The whole thing makes me hate the fricking Barners with a passion now.
But mostly because they've tarnished the rest of us--the entire SEC by association.
Yes, I do hope this leads to Auburn being kicked out of the SEC.

Being from Texas I am good friends with individuals who played at major Big 12 programs, they have made it quite clear that it is the norm. Its just like no one believes that their players are dealing with agents but yet a big time agent said earlier this year, "there isn't a big time player in the country who isn't being taken care of."

It happens at LSU too. I don't think LSU as an institution is dirty at all. But people associated, however loosely*, with the program have given improper benefits to student athletes at the school.
If you don't believe it's happening, you're living in a fairy tale.
*it doesn't take much for the NCAA to label somebody a "booster".

Basically the entire nation now thinks that this incredible run we have had as a conference was due to bought players....that is why I hate them so much. The nation now thinks that LSU, Florida and Bama's titles are all trash even though we have nothing to do with this scandal.
The Nick Fairley stuff and stealing players that would have otherwise gone to other SEC schools is just additional reasons to hate them.

I don't know about "most SEC fans," but I've proudly hated Auburn since birth. All of this is just gravy.

Second, illegal hits: The one illegal hit yesterday was flagged. Do you think Auburn is getting preferential treatment on hits to the quarterback? There are offensive linemen who block, you know. And you also have defensive linemen who could do the same thing to Auburn quarterbacks.
Ok this I disagree strongly with. It wasn't just a one game deal. Fairley body slammed Lee in our game, the qb from Clemson, hell I would just go on record to say he's made a dirty hit on every qb he's faced.
It would be one thing if the qb has the ball, but they have already thrown it - and then Fairley takes the late shot at them.
Anytime an LSU defender has done something to commit a personal foul, I have never condoned it nor has 99% of the LSU fanbase. One strong criticism we LSU fans have had about Miles is the lack of control/discipline of some of our players at crucial times in the past (Kentucky 2007, Arkansas 2008, Ricky Jean Francois shooting off his mouth about Florida in 2008, etc).
But some of you Auburn fans cheer and applaud it as though you are at a "wrasslin" match.
This is the part where I draw the line and realize I'm not arguing with college football fans but I'm dealing with trash (if you think Fairley is doing the right thing).

you are not telling the truth; you have no idea what has been uncovered about auburna and you are ignoring that the FBI is investigatin.

see, thats one reason why most people think ya'lls defense is utter bull shite. you really expect us to believe that cecil newton wanted bit bucks for his son to play for MSU but let him play for auburn for free.

A sinner I can tolerate, a hypocrite I can't. Auburn pretends to be a "family" adhering to the "Auburn Creed". I would be less angry if Auburn admitted they are a football factory, as is most of the SEC.
