Both sides are doing this. I think it's because both fan bases feel the same way. They really want a win and know it's not a guarantee.
Some of my attitude stems from that feeling that if we lose, I'll feel like shite knowing that we went 1-1 against the team that gets to claim the title. And knowing that I'll hear it all year long that the first game meant nothing (my interaction with Bama fans is inevitable).
Plus I bet my FIL a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle and I REALLY want that whiskey!

Well, yea. My point is exactly that. You will have that same record, but you will be able to claim the championship. LSU won't. That is bothersome, but it's how it worked out this year.

I tried and failed, man. I tried a few different ones that were in accordance with the 150x150 pixel size.
Maybe you are on to something with that trend setting angle.
eta: I'll just leave it blank until I can figure something out. I had actually forgotten about it. I'm either on my phone or have them disabled for work most of the time.

My friend who is a bammer, says that if Bama loses this game, it will be devestating to their program. Thats a pretty strong word to use, I dont see it, the top kids will still go play at Bama and they will still churn out 10 win seasons. I think the most devestated by a Bama loss would be to the pysche of Nick Saban. IMO he is already nearly dominated pyschologically by CLM. If we take it this year, next year is a given, that man (CNS) will truly be devestated.
