It's like the 40 year old virgin. When you finally do it, you tend to engage in a little hyperbole. 
Remember, the LSU offense has been REALLY, REALLY bad. I alone, have been rushed to the emergency room on at least three occasions since 2009, the last time muttering the phrase "one first down, that's all we needed, one first down"...
The time before that I stuck a fork in my eye when Jordan Jefferson threw 677 straight incomplete passes.
We've been in The Offensive Wilderness man.
Like the part of Mongolia that is outside of Outer Mongolia.
Like the Mississippi of Outer Mongolia.

I haven't read this thread but i think its because they haven't had even a mediocre offense in years, thus the optimism over beating 3 cupcakes.
