If you want to attempt to prove your point, go ahead and post the LSU QB numbers for the first three OOC opponents over the last 5 years. That's all you'll need to know about what LSU's O is doing this year with Mett and Cam. You've admitted you don't watch LSU football, maybe you should do some pertinent research before commenting on LSU football.

Last 5 years? No. Thank you. I don't watch LSU football, no. But I DO know a little about LSU football. I do know that your defenses have been among the countrys best the past few years. I know you have struggled on offense during the same time. I know how frustrating that has been for LSU fans, and understand your being happy. You have a new OC that you feel will help your offense. But the fact remains, you put up huge numbers against weaker opponents last year. your offense struggled against stronger opponents. You have not played against a strong opponent yet. You can say all you want about getting more passing yards, etc., but the scores against weak opponents are eerily similar. And last time I checked, it is the score that matters. AND...you might come into Georiga and put 40 points on us, and hold us to 10. But will that say more about your defense or your offense? Your defense, because Georgia's offense is very good so far.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Your offense might very well turn out to be every bit as good as you think it is. If it is, you just might win the National Championship. I want the Natty to stay in the SEC for at LEAST one more year!

Oh look, another LSU thread from a Bama poster. The obsession is getting ridiculous.

LSU to think that they will be able to beat Al, AM, FL and GA.

Sure, I'll list in order the games I was most concerned about, in order from preseason.

imo

UGA - strong O but their D is struggling a bit. Game is in Athens and I'm expecting a shootout

UA - strong O but OL might have issues, the secondary definitely needs some work. Coach Saban is the best in the biz and I'm expecting a normal LSU/UA game, both scoring in mid 20's.

UF - elite D, horrible O. TBH I no longer have them on the 'concerned' list since game is here.

A&M - JFF is superman, no doubt but we have kryptonite and the D might be the worst in the West. Also we have them home.

OM - -solid, usually a good game. They have taken UF's spot on my list. They are looking really good.

LSU - been pretty successful over last 5 years with an O that finishes ranked in mid-80's. I don't think we will have an elite D but they are pretty good. The O is currently 6th in 3rd down conversions 21/33. I don't see any dominat D on schedule save UF.

I don't know that I would call this cocky.

Once again, educate yourself before you comment on something. You're wrong.

Mett against his first 3 OOC games in 2012 and 2013:

2012: 48/66 609YDS 4TD 2INT QBR 45.2 50% on 3rd downs
2013: 45/69 797YDS 9TD 0INT QBR 90.3 64% on 3rd downs

So it appears as though Mett this far this year is far better and efficient than he was last year in his first 3 OOC games. FYI.

Eta: he was 48/66 last year not 48/46

There's no comparison between last year and this. He's much calmer, patient. Plus the receivers aren't dropping the ball as bad. Better OL protection also.

I'm sorry, but I am not seeing much of a difference yet. It may be there, but do you honestly see a difference in your scoring this year from last?

Fingers in their ears!! This year is different!! We just know it is!!

We used to have to count on defense to score, now we don't Now they both score!

The only games LSU was bad in offensively last season were Florida and Clemson and that team was not very interested in playing in the chicken bowl.

Well, we scored 12 against Auburn and two of the points were on a safety. Also, we threw for 97 yards against aTm on 29 attempts. So we had our challenges last year on offense.

Having watched all the games in question I think the part you can't understand is the way those stats happened. The games last year we really didn't get to do any experimenting till late in the game. The games this year we've been rolling freshmen in and out on defense and basically running the offense as you would in a scrimmage. Last night was 'work on running', so we lit them up and got the points, then went to running the ball and banging the rust off of Hill.

It's that ability to put points on the board almost at will that we now have that we didn't have last year. This year it really does look effortless compared to last year.

Our Defense is starting to look like an LSU / Chavis defense so while it's not as flashy as the success we're seeing from the O, not many people are or should be worried about it.

Personally, I think we have a better chance of running the table this year than any year before, and we actually did it before with a shite offense run by a retard. So while it may come across as cocky or entitled, it's not without merit if you've been watching what we've been watching and not just the box scores. Had we been going full blast on these teams the scores would have been really ugly. That's not what Les is doing right now. He's been using these to sharpen the sword.

First head comes off this weekend. Bye Bye Auburn.

Mett had 4 TD's with 2 INT's after those games last year

This year he has 9 TD's with 0 INT's.

Even against trash opponents that's solid work. Flynn didn't even put up those kind of numbers.
