Why are Bama's defensive backs so bad when they are coached by Saban?

They are always the weak link of their defense. I can't name 1 DB from Bama that has went on to the NFL and become relevant. A few spot starters at best. What gives? Dare I say Saban's recruiting prowess is what makes him so great and not his coaching abilities. Saban is def suspect when it comes to his on the field coaching.

I believe there are more defensive backs in the NFL from Bama than total players from Washington. Could be wrong though
Also, no clue if youre a Washington fan or an LSU fan that is trying to be relevant

A lot of NFL teams coach backpedaling where nick coaches shuffle. Just a guess though. But Kareem Jackson has finally turned into a serviceable DB considering he was a 1st rounder.
