Bryce Young is special

Trevor Lawrence was supposed to be the next big thing and look how thats going.

Sure, he's good but he hasnt even been in the Heisman conversation despite playing in a weak arse conference and he's had some really bad games.

I'm sure Young will be good but lets see him in action first.

Mac Jones has a few deficiencies at QB after 4 games as a starter.

As you so eloquently noted he lacks touch and fails to make good decisions when heavily pressured. Shudda just dumped that bullet to Harris at the goal line at his feet.

Mac Jones will give up lotsa picks this year in key games. He holds onto a ball well enough but has to learn the throwaway when heavily blitzed or sacked.

Touch passes need serious work. New WRs coming up and loss of Shavers gives Jones two key WRs returning. Bama will rely heavily on the run game in 2020 as they have few other choices. A 2019 48% passing game (with Tua throwing most of those) will likely fall to around 40% passing with Jones at QB

As always, well put Pokey!

On passes traveling 20+ yards, Mac Jones had a worse completion percentage than Jarrett Guarantano and Kelly Bryant. He was barely better than Ben Hicks in that department. Not good.

3 with losses to LSU again, Auburn again and Georgia. The run is officially over. RIP

They aren’t losing to au at home. It usually takes au playing the game at home with multiple miracles occurring during the course of the game. Not this year.

Because we are loaded at skill positions, and our oline will be tops in the country, and either of those guys are good enough to distribute the ball effectively in our offense.

The defense is another issue.

Definitely wasnt all him.

Had more to do with four NFL players on the defensive line.

Passing Categories are six to track him

0-10 yds L / Center / R
10+ L / Center / R

So the 20+ covers the LOB Pass (Bomb)

Tua had a good Lob but Mac doesn’t as you point out. Add the touch pass issues and a lack of high quality returning WRs in 2020 & they are gonna struggle early & force Jones to throw high % short Passes to RBs and lotsa Quick slants and keep him in his comfort zone. 3rd Downs are gonna be Interesting in the big games. Teams are stack the box with 7 & 8 against Cutty Sark and pressure the hell outta Bama & Mac -10 the Joker Jones. He better get a pair of ballerina cleats

He threw 50/50 balls to his 6’4 receivers who were being defended by freshman Surtain (who didn’t play bad) and Saivion Smith (who got burned so bad he faked an injury). We were also missing 3 starting OLBs so we couldn’t get any pressure on him

I can tell there’s some SEC bias here.

Bryce Young is a stud. Let’s change the subject, lol.

The dude is a consensus 1 overall pick yet hasnt been a top 3 quarterback in either of his two college seasons.

It remains to be seen if he'll take the next step in year 3.

Burrow just had the best statistical season of a qb in CFB history.

Mac Jones is capable of moving the team. He's got starts against solid competition. But we do NOT know what LSU's QB can do in a big game he's untested, period.
