This is our most talented team in a long time. We are very hopefully that they do something good. We basically have all of our dreams riding on this one season.

You might want to take those eggs, and put them in a different basket. I know Arky fans feels confident, but the loss of BP is going to hurt you more than you think.

1. Not quite sure why, no reason really.
2. Hopefully so. No disrespect to Hogs but A&M is a much more natural rival, not something born only of expansion. Hopefully A&M/LSU will become Thanksgiving Friday game.

Interesting fact that most forget...Arkansas has more history with both LSU and Texas A&M than LSU and Texas A&M have with each other.

True, due to expansion, LSU/Hogs have played 6 more times than LSU/A&M. But I've always considered A&M as more of a rival than Arkansas. Perhaps it is generational (I'm 51).

Piggies have to dream. Per ESPN 10 minutes ago: "Arkansas should celebrate if it comes anywhere near 9 wins". Keep dreaming Piggies, keep dreaming.

Aggie should be happy to make a bowl game considering they're installing a new system with a new coach, and this is their first season in the motherfricking SEC West. Also, one of those 9 wins will almost certainly be against Aggie at Kyle Field. Sad that they had to back out of the Jerry World deal just to have a chance at winning. Even spotted you an 18 point lead at half

I honestly think it is because they are geographically removed from the rest of the conference. Because of this, propaganda has a strong effect on their psyche. They tell each other how great Arkansas is and they believe it without considering what lies southeast of the Ozarks.

This is very clemsonesk. Lodged away in their own corner of the state in an orange circle jerk that doesn't allow negative outside opinion.

Probably. I do realize that the A&M/LSU series was really heated back in the day, and from what I've seen a lot of older Tiger fans feel that A&M is a rival even though they hadn't played in 15 or so years prior to the 2011 Cotton Bowl. I would think many of the younger generation that doesn't remember the series very well would feel more of a connection to Arkansas though.

I've noticed your posts in the Arkansas threads before (especially regarding the JLS hire). You're very fair in your observations and not one of the awful LSU posters that posts rotflmao emoticons and dismisses it as a terrible hire without considering its positives

Seen good times and bad in CFB (70 - present). That's why I'm not terribly concerned about one bowl game (note to 'LSU sweeps Alabama' crew) and old enough to know how things really go. I remember when FSU and Miami were 'homecoming' games then rose to the top with no peer. Why not Arkansas (or any other club). I also remember ND beating everyone by 40 points seemingly and where are they now? It's just the nature of things.

A lot of fans of various teams can learn from this.

They wanna claim some ridiculous type of "flagship" status then their douche bag coach is literally crying for a mercy knee in the 3rd quarter.

If I remember correctly, the mercy knee was given the year before in Little Rock by Ryan Mallett . How soon you forget!

I love how the Aggie envy is so strong amongst the piggies.

Envy of what exactly?

Aggies 24-41-3 record against Arkansas?
Aggies having a losing record against Hogs every decade but the 90s, when the teams only paid twice?
Aggies being 15-20-1 against Hogs in Texas?

Where is the envy?

Just Aggies being Aggies.
