Why all the hate for LSU Mainieri

I understand he had a few bad seasons but the SEC is the best Baseball conference in the nation. It's a pure meat grinder. No team stays on top forever. LSU time will come around again. In reality, is there anyone else you can get that will do a better coaching job.

I will tell you where he lost me. In game 3 vs UK he didn't pitch 3 of our best pitchers and brought the 4th string catcher in to pinch hit in the 7th down 4 runs. The decisions he's making this year almost make it seem like he has dementia.

Yeah, LSU needs to retain their coach. We are definitely looking next month, and I'd rather not do so at the same time

IMO, yes. Mainieri is an all-time great coach but even the greats get to the point where it’s time to move on. That time has come for Paul.

If he finds a way to lose to Van Horn, then we’ll all recognize that he’s done.

You have to watch the whole season to see it. The signs are there. He doesnt seem to care anymore or enjoy it ,like at all.

Hes making decisions that even I know arent the way to go. Hes stale man

Except for the fact that Van Horn was a Peterson miracle away from sweeping his arse last time. I guess PM should’ve been done a while ago bc Van Horn smoked his arse last time they played.

That was the second series DVH has ever won against LSU. Like he said, it’s a sign he’s done

Because the program appears to be on a downward trajectory and he cannot seem to manage the bullpen.

Ever since his temper tantrum against MSU where he stomped on the home plate.

His teams lost their edge and started carrying that bitch attitude as well.

Then zero LHP.

He is terrible and has ruined a historically great baseball culture

So what you're saying is this is nothing that an SEC Championship and a trip to Omaha won't fix? All would be forgiven.

I’ll give you a simple answer to your simple question. He is not winning enough to suit us. Not even close. We are not going to stand for it and he will be replaced.

LSU made it to the championship series of the CWS that same season

Its not so much hate as it is recognition that the man is topped out and done. Hasnt been the same since his father died.

Wait, what? Even though we are playing in BR this weekend, I'd be highly disappointed if we don't take 2 of 3 from LSU.
