y on the hot seat. In fact, just the opposite. After this fiasco the past week, Les has never been in a stronger position.
UT won't fire Botch. They are still gunshy after ditching Fulmer and the chaos that followed.
Gus, and it isn't close. Muschamp bailed. JJ is a head case. White shows promise, but the suspicions he isn't big enough to handle the punishment in the SEC may have merit. Gus better right the ship on offense and hope the defense doesn't completely crater.

That is my worry with White, he looks very breakable.
Honestly though, even with/without Muschamp next season will hinge on the offense. As bad as our D was this year, it still looked improved from last year. Bottom line, he has to get the offense rolling again either with White or some new guy. Schedule is also not friendly, but I have no idea what Arkansas, Ole Miss or MSU will look like next year --- lol it is either a good year to play Vandy --- or a year certain to get you fired.

Les ain't going nowhere. Auburn would have paid 60 million in buyouts for Fisher.

Why would that be a bad thing?

Vol fans are fickle. They were ready to can the guy after the Arkansas game. They catch some lucky breaks and beat Georgia the next game and they are ready to give him an extension

I realize most of you kiddies haven't been around as long as I have. If you had, you'd realize something.
Alabama's had some down periods, but they never last. If Saban goes (big IF as of today, tomorrow who knows), Alabama will most likely take a big step back.
We took steps back after Frank Thomas...Bear Bryant, Gene Stallings...
I doubt this will be any different. The sun shines longer than the night lasts.
And yes, other than Frank Thomas, I've been around for it all.

Actually yes I do remember it. I remember things like the Holy Roman Empire and the Ottoman Empire too. I know who Gustavus Adolphus and Themistocles were, and a whole lot of others which have existed throughout history.
It's called understanding the why of history, as opposed to the what of it.
That's why I know Bama will rise from the ashes should it fall. History tells you, if you but listen and understand why.

Straight truth.
As for op discussion. I think the Vegas favorite will be Sumlin next August.

That's always been such a weird thing to brag about. Lose the last 4 in a row... I know! Bring up the all-time record!

Sumlin is the worst coach of the bunch. He never should have been hired.
Gus is as bad as Sumlin. He'll never be a good Head Coach because of his lack of defensive skills.
Miles is the best of the three. He coaches all three phases of the game and gets his teams to play inspired football. Miles is old school and a little strange but he really does put a solid team on the field. Sumlin and Gus are pretenders.

Fat Bert. Allen, your warrior QB, is gone.

This mentality is in a nut shell everything wrong with the Malzhan philosophy and why Auburn's program is in such a mess.

How quickly some forget. Hogs were left in shambles after Nutt. Petrino improved each year as coach until he celebrated with an employee. Program left in shambles again after John L. Bert has improved every year since. Arkansas is not happy with 6 or 7 wins but you have to crawl before you walk. I think we will be ok.
