Had to look that one up. Never heard of that, but I'll give it a try the next time I want to go to jail.

The longest winning streak you have in the series is two games,

Wrong. MSU owns the longest winning streak in the egg bowl series.

13 in a row from 1911 to 1925.

We dominated OM before 1950, and they dominated us in the 1960s through 80s.

It's been pretty even since then.

I don't even have a problem with A&M as a rival.

I'm neither offended nor do I have a problem with LSU having any team as a rival. I just don't think we have any. It's silly when you claim that pretty much every team you play is your arch rival or your arch arch rival or your arch arch arch... We have no opponent whose games are significantly more anticipated than any other.

Under your definition, Auburn, Florida and Alabama would be LSU's rivals.

If you don't think those games are more anticipated than others, you're fooling yourself.

LSU thinks Alabama is their rival

I musta missed that one. I was raised to believe there was a lot more hatred between Ole Miss and LSU, or even A&M and LSU, than Bama and LSU.

I mean, sure, we're still pretty sore over not being able to beat Bama in BR for 30 years, but that doesn't make a rivalry.

They've fielded good teams in recent years. When they have good teams, they're more anticipated than other teams. When they don't, they aren't. Baton Rouge gets excited about playing any good SEC team. That doesn't make every good SEC team our rival. If they were, we'd be super-excited about playing them when they didn't have good teams. We aren't. We like to see LSU win, but we don't have any special opponents we enjoy beating more than anyone else.

Lsu is like a big brother, you want them to do good so you can brag about them. But when you play together you want to win. State is like a little brother, you never want them to win because you're the middle child and you don't want the youngest to outshine you.

I'm an Ole Miss guy and I'm much more happy when beating LSU.

Anytime Ole Miss beats LSU I am really excited and happy. Anytime Ole Miss beats State, I feel more relief than anything else.
