Moss was out. Chase was a freshman. Marshall was a red shirt freshman and injured. Neither one of them started.
Jefferson played well. Clyde Edwards Helaire was the back up RB. He did play
8 new starters on offense. Starting safety and all SEC CB out.
4 or 5 rather unsusual calls all went TAM way.
Pretty solid game from Burrow
Burrow 299 yards passing and 100 yards rushing

Jones will be just fine as Bama QB... Bama won with Blake Sims.. Cocker.. Mccarron.. McIlroy
Bamas only concern is an early game with Georgia..winnable.. and
LSU in BTR. LSU has finally caught back up to Bama .. analyst, offensive scheme, and talent up and down the roster

I agree but Alabama had a much better defense then.

I answered that. We don’t know how 90% of those will be next year. It is definitely harder than last year, but who knows. Based on this past years schedule, Bama’s record would have been the same if Jones started every game. And that is not an endorsement of Jones talent.

This is the biggest question mark for 2020 for us
Offense will be fine - the defense has to be much better. How much the experience jump helps and what Golding shows will determine the season. I don't really have any idea what that will be, either.

I won't disagree with that. Maybe a tougher game with South Carolina or Texas A&M. Remember Alabama had a lot of trouble with both of those teams offenses in the first and half way though the second quarter. Alabama with Tua and the receivers just shock and awed them.
Bama's defense couldn't consistently stop those teams either.

I think Bama could have beaten every team on that schedule except LSU and Auburn if they did not throw a pass. The QB situation in the SEC was pitiful last year. The SECE was beyond pitiful. I think there will be a upgrade next season due to coaching, how much is the question.

It certainly will be entertaining with the Pirate and Lane Kiffin. But yeah, I agree that overall it should be better. I think Ole Miss and Mississippi State upgraded. I think Tennessee should be better. Florida might just challenge UGA in the East. I still don't see great QB play in the league overall.

With the loss of Burrow, Tua and Fromm the overall talent took a nosedive. Again, whoever has the best QB play( not saying great QB play) will have a chance. From an arm strength and able to make all the throws, Nix has a chance if Morris can make the changes with the Offense. Mond has the arm, but lacks the decision making. Jones seems smart, but I think lacks the arm. Trask might be the best combination, but is a crapshoot. QB will be more in question going into the season than it has been for years.

I agree with this
And we really don't know much about Brennan, but I assume he'll be pretty good and he'll have great weapons.

Fg kicker. Not Mack the knife's fault.
Bama played for overtime with a chipshot fg. Oh yeah, we can't kick ×pts and we're setting up for a fg to put it in to OT when Mack was shredding the tiger's "Vaunted" defense to microscopic bits.

Better check his stats against y'all.
The 2 pick 6's were unforced. Rewatch the game and get back to us.

Glad we didn't Au's sub 50% passer throwing to them.

Everyone is a step down from Tua.

Disagree entirely! He has a terrific arm. What are you guys watching? Go back and rewatch.
