Utilitarian, he will see a lot of blitzes.
He has four out of five starting OLinemen returning as well as two All-American caliber WRs and Najee Harris in the backfield as a safety valve. I think he'll be okay.

The two pick 6 against AU were perfectly clear. Again when you have the #4 Bama WR being covered by a LB or the #4 DB, you are going to have a mismatch that even an inaccurate QB can take advantage. Most teams have two decent DBs, that will now put pressure on Jones that he didn’t this year.

Tua made those WRs AA and that OL got him hurt twice.

They looked pretty good with Mac Jones at the helm. But whatever.

The ones that had 662 yards in 2 games vs Auburn and Michigan...........without Tua?
Damn, impressive, imagine how many they would have had with Tua.

Yep, you think they would have AA stats if Jones was the QB all year? Maybe one would have gotten the recognition, but not all four. Look at LSUs WRs over the years.

If I had to do an honest comparison it would be similar to this:
Cam newton/Barrett Trotter = Tua/Mac Jones
Cam newton/Barrett Trotter = Tua/Mac Jones

Dang it you changed the game. Smart move. Was about to post Joe’s A&M 2018 stat line

Wasn’t Trotter a 4 star? That is what people are basing everything on.

Well, he threw for 300+ yards against 2 Top 25 defenses and both Waddle and Jeudy had the best days of their careers in those games..........
So yea, probably so. Considering what they did against Michigan/Auburn and then considering what they did against a bad defense with Mac (Arkansas)........I'm pretty positive they would have had huge years the rest of the year against the other powerhouses on the schedule.

Literally nobody is basing it on that.
What are you talking about?

The talent decrease is similar, Jones was a liability in the auburn game.

Let's do it this way
Puppets - if Mac Jones starts all 12 games next season and there no major injuries on the Alabama offense, what are your predictions on......
- Alabama record
- His stats
No point in beating around the bush

That is just part of his description we hear when they talk about his future “former four star.......”.

Well, I know you are just blatantly making things up because Mac Jones wasn't even a 4-star. He was a 3-star.

What are y’all WRs like behind Smith and Waddle?
Posted on 1/30/20 at 3:35 pm to SummerOfGeorge
Mac jones just isn’t anything special, the guys he threw the ball to in the AU game were. You plug pretty much any 3 or 4 star qb in and they’re going to have similar stats. He’s just an average qb with 4 or 5 first or second round receivers

People say Metchie is going to be really good and the staff likes him a lot, but we obviously haven't really seen him much outside of the practice game in the spring. Bolden seems like he'll probably be a solid college player, but nothing terrifying or elite. Other guys were decently highly rated but nobody really knows, including the incoming freshmen.

Didn’t mean to trigger you. Hard to made a prediction based on what the completion will look like. If their schedule is anything like this past year, He would be able to pad his stats against some marginal Ds, but who knows. I do like how placed in the typical Bama fan excuse caveat about “any injuries”.
