LSU spent $17 million in the portal for “this” season. The 2025 season that hasn’t been played yet.

LSU barely spent $5 million on last years team and the defensive results showed that clearly.

If you’re going to continue to post in this forum do a better job with getting your facts straight

characterize it more as sensing a window of opportunity, adapting to the present college football context, and pushing all your chips to the middle of the table and increasing depth.

That’s great for you and all but the national champion has never taken more than 9 in a year for a reason. I would never bet on an outlier like LSU this year, probably what most are thinking. It would be the first time ever.

To be fair, it's what? A 3 year sample size?

Horns and Dawgs getting most of the press but I think Florida and LSU are going to be better than most think and be in it all the way.

Texas only returning 6-7 starters total; talented but may not start coming together until mid-late season.

On paper I’d put A&M there too. But November hasn’t been kind to them.

Bama… I’m just not sold on DeBoer yet but it’s still Bama so who knows.

LSU will win it all no matter who goes to Atlanta. We will probably win the SEC too.

Spent 17 million, lost 4 games and got 30 something points scored on them by baylor in a pathetic bowl win that they somehow brag about

LSU spent like $12 million on Kelly's first three rosters, combined.

That's part of the issue.

They spent more than that, just this offseason. We'll see how it turns out.

What the frick are you talking about? Yall haven’t won a title in what? 17 years? what would you know about building a team in this era? Also, how can you assess this coaching staff and personnel and conclude this would be an outlier when we’ve existed in this context with such a small sample size from which to judge?
