You should be more upset.

We had the best season in LSU history with one, the other allowed us to win 10 games with arguably the worst defense in LSU history, and the third is just a pipe dream right now.

What is there to be that upset about? Vince Young basically did for you guys what Burrow did for us. Were you pissed in '98 when you guys "wasted" Ricky Williams all-time season or thrilled to win 9 games and a Heisman?

It’s the hope that he repeats what Daniels and Burrow both did after having good but not great Junior seasons. Arguably Nuss may have had a better Junior year than either of them. But it’s certainly a really optimistic view. That and there aren’t many returning QB’s that are all that good. And he certainly has way more skins on the wall than Arch. But as an earlier poster said, I’d take the field rather than both of them.

Right, squandered.

Had low expectations and was happy. But in LSU's recent history you'd expect to make the semifinal every time with a Heisman level QB. Same with Texas now. Kelly allowing such a crap defense is ridiculous.

Arch has 4 new starters in front of him on the o-line. I don't know anything about the LSU o-line, but in terms of returning starts, it can't be much worse.

People here need to remember the name John Mateer he will take over this conference next year. You better believe it.

Bad WR's, no chemistry on offense and all tenured RB's were out with injury most of the year.

On top of it, Beck was over it all and didn't seem he wanted to be in Athens anymore.

Bad all around on the Offensive side of the ball.

The Defense saved our arse

It’s not many, cautiously optimistic

To be fair, could have said the same about Joe B & JD coming into 2nd years too

That’s where I’m at. Very good college QB, but I haven’t seen anything from Nuss to believe he could be Heisman caliber player this season

I think the team is good enough all around where we don’t need hero ball at QB to make the playoffs

Klubik, ASU QB, Sayins, Sellers, and Lagway all have more potential to win Heisman than Arch, Nuss or Nico IMO

Arnold has a shot at a Heisman moment if he becomes a QB who beats bama at two different schools.

Has anyone ever done this?

Nuss, king of the 5-yard check-down and 10-yard out. I do wonder if Kelly is planning on a running game this season. That would be different.

I think Arch will be really good. The Texas D should be strong again.

However, we will have lost 5 WRs and 2 TEs in the last 2 drafts (assuming this draft plays out as expected). Also, 4 of 5 starting O-linemen from last season are gone. This is Sark's youngest team since taking over Texas. No QB should be considered a Hesiman lock under those conditions.
