No, Texas is far more deserving. Texas beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Missouri, and lost on the road to Texas Tech. That is 3 top-10 teams, and another team on an LSU level.
But the big boys in the Big 12 are starting to play each other and all of those teams with 1 loss will have a few more in coming weeks. It probably won't look as impressive then.

How unfortunate would it be for PSU if they get into the game against florida, get beaten by, lets say 17, and then the Big X takes the fall again? UF would have beaten both LSU and UGA by that margin, but people would still rag on the big X
Just some food for thought

Gotta wonder if Penn State football fans are regretting joining the Big 10 these days?

It will still be impressive. The big-12 south is probably the strongest division this decade. Even Baylor is not horrible. Any 1 loss team out of that division will be the most deserving 1 loss team.

Right now Texas is by far the most deserving 1 loss team. Does not mean they are the best as I think both USC and Florida are better, but that is not what the bcs is about at all.
The biggest problem with college football!

If TT or UT and UF win out and win their championship, I guarantee they'll get in over Penn St and USC. Right now, I like UF's chances more than any Big 12 team to do that just based on remaining schedules. Comparing between conferences is ridiculous at this point because there are so few interconference games.

USC and Florida are the 2 best teams
Sorry, but when a team plays in an especially bad PAC-10, they don't get to lose a game to OSU and then make any such claim. That's the down side of playing in a super weak conference.

And why not?????
They'll lose again, they thrive off of opponents' mistakes, winning the turnover margin, and big special teams plays; they're not going to have those factors work to their advantage in every game

Iowa State and Kansas State are probably much worse anyway.

And just WHO do they lose to????

Nobody can predict whether or not they'll slip up or lose another game, but there's nobody on their schedule or in the country in my opinion that can beat them if they play the way they have been. They don't get lucky, they force the other team to make mistakes.

their offense is only ranked slightly higher than LSU's, if the big breaks don't go their way they are vulnerable, see Ole Miss
