If he/she were arrested, would he/she be put in men's or women's prison?
re: Building a "real" mudboat **UPDATE

I have one with an EA81 Subaru in it, 18x54. Built by a local guy not far from me. We have a ton of these around my area.
We have a group on FB called "Inboard Nation". Lots of good information for mudboats there.

The cow-horn spike most likely will be nothing more than that its entire life. Take it out

Get a mini split. Just installed a Pioneer 12k BTU and it runs on 110v. Thing puts out, and has a heat pump. Install isn't hard.

I really want to see a playoff game in Tiger Stadium this year. Can you imagine the atmosphere, especially if its a night game.

If my memory serves me correct, I think Miami was winning 3-0.

Early 2000's hunting Point Aux Chene, we launched off Island Rd with 2 pirouges and crossed the lil bay. Ducks started flying like crazy before a hard front started passing through. We hunkered down with our pirouges pulled up on the marsh and let it ride. When we decided to leave the waves were so bad we were taking in water.
So, before we sank and lost everything we decided to just bail and jump in. Water was way more warm than the outside air, so it really wasn't that bad. We swam the pirouges in for about 2 hours trying not to lose anything. Rode back home in our boxers with the heater full blast.

I got my ZX200 to 81 by myself with a small chop on the lake.
Wasn't loaded down, just went for a ride.
Flashed with a 26p Scorpion (blue printed and balanced)

Just got the '24 Sierra Elevation with the 3.0 about 4 weeks ago. Already got over 2k miles on it (trip to Tennessee was 1.5k), and my average fuel consumption since having it is over 28 mpg. I went from the 5.3 Silverado filling up every 3-4 days to now to 1-1/2 weeks.
It has great pulling power for what I need it for.

re: Yamaha SHO or Mercury Pro XS 4 Stroke in 200HP
Posted by tigerbait703 on 6/12/24 at 10:50 am
I've had experiences with both. If I were to buy a new one today I would go SHO. I know so many people that have them and zero problems. It's you typical Chevy vs Ford debate.
I know a good bit of people with the Mercury's, and besides the electronic shift actuator in the foot, they are reliable as well.
The cherry on top for me is being able to flash the SHO. Turn that 200 into 330. I did it on my skeeter and was worth every penny. I have friends that are flashing before they even break it in now.

And then Ida had to shower her arse... :wah:
But we salvaged the pontoons and some of the joist. Started over and now it currently looks like this:

Just went through this whole process. You have to register any houseboat now. You have to fill out an Affidavit of non-motorized houseboat, get it notarized, then either mail or carry yourself to LDWF and get it registered. Make sure you have pics of all sides of it included and the Affidavit filled out correctly, or it starts all over again.
I asked about when I put a motor on the back. They told me its a another process.
I will upload pics of my build as soon as I get a little time.

Outboard motor problems - 4 stroke Mercury
Posted by tigerbait703 on 10/18/23 at 2:12 pm
Have a 2013 Mercury 25 outboard that stays out the weather. It has push button electric start, and it will not start unless I pull it out in the sun and let it sit for a while. Its something to do with the cold.
Anyone ever had this problem? Only thing I can think of is a computer issue. I had someone look at it that is an all around good mechanic and he is clueless of what it can be.
Problem just started when weather started cooling off. All connections are good and battery is new.
Edit: it will crank over, but will not start unless the sun warms it up.

This was slightly up river from St. Francisville. I'm sure the saltwater intrusion was not a big deal between the Civil War and WWI. On this same gauge its fixing to be at 13' for reference.

re: v6 or V8 Mudboat builders

Where you located? There are a few options where I am. There is a guy not far from me that built many muboats over the years. Built my dads in 1995 and still using it today. He has a E82 Subaru in it, not a V6 or V8.
