Who will end up having the most impact and success...Pruitt @UT or Mullen @UF?

So far, my vote's going in Pruitt's corner. I know the Vols have yet to get above .500 in quite awhile, but I've got a funny feeling this year is going to see some marked improvement in them.
I think the Vols are going to start by beating Florida this year. I don't forsee them upsetting the Dawgs, but it'll be closer than the past 2 years. The Vols and Missouri are the two danger teams to beware of in the East this year, I think (A&M & Auburn in the West).
What say y'all?

Now, that's an interesting way to look at it.

We went 9-4 3 seasons ago, that’s not ancient history
My answer to your question: hopefully Pruitt

I think Mullen’s a good but not great coach. I see him ending up like a Mark Richt of sorts. 8-10 wins per year, consistently top 15-20, NY6 bowls, but probably never winning the SEC championship or making the playoffs.
Pruitt is a lot harder for me to gauge/predict. The only thing most of us really expect from him this year is a noticeably improved team and a bowl berth, which I think we’ll see. We still have a lot of leftover slaw from Lyle’s last two years (once it became clear how much of a fraud he was, elite players stopped committing.) From 2020 onward Pruitt will be expected to produce at a high level. As much as we’ve sucked arse for the last decade, we still have everything we need to be successful as long as the right coach is in place. I’m cautiously optimistic Pruitt will be that guy.
So based on track record, the safe answer to your question is Mullen, but most people would’ve also put him above Kirby Smart in 2016, so we’ll see. It’s hard to gauge with new HC’s. If Pruitt is to establish himself as a upper echelon HC, it will probably show with a breakout (8/9 win) season this year.

Mullen
Pruitt is a helluva recruiter and motivator...but lacks the IQ to be a decent coach. Jesus...I also just described Coach O and he might actually be ok....so who knows. Both those frickers beat Auburn last year...arggg.

I think Florida stays at about whatever their 2-3 year average would be and Tennessee can only go up. I’d say it could potentially be Pruitt, if he can actually bring them out of the basement.

Mullen = Richt
Will win 9 to 10 games a year while struggling mightily with roster management and recruiting at the LOS.
Pruitt = Lane Kiffin
A sort of savant on one side of the ball. Relates well enough to be a good recruiter, but just can't put it all together due to being a little slow on the uptake sometimes.

Mullen.
He did great things with what he could get at MSU, and now he has a brand like UF to sell and and the ridiculous Florida recruiting grounds right in his backyard.

Mullen won 8-10 at State.
Why do you project the same at UF? Why would he move to a weaker division and do the same with a substantially better program?
I mean Spurrier couldnt win the SEC at USCe and it's better than Miss State. So dismissing Mullens ability because he couldnt win a title at the worst school in the West during Alabamas dynasty is a bit perplexing.

He only won 10 once. It's more accurate to say he was a 7 to 8 (7.6 average per year) win coach at MSU. 9 to 10 is an improvement.

Yep. And that 10 win at State is a National title at UF.

It'll either be Pruitt by a mile, or he'll crash and burn. He can recruit with the best of them. He can coach. If he gets the right O coaches he'll do great. But he's a live wire. Who throws hands at Mark Richt??
But Pruitt also has more to overcome given in state talent.
