They should be.

but there's no chance in hell they stay there.

Based on what?

USCw is absolutely loaded next year, and the only team that can beat them in the PAC is Oregon, who loses a lot from a team that lost to them THIS year at home. They aren't beating USCw at home in 2012.

USCw returns 9 starters on offense, including the top QB in college football next year (this year too imo) in Matt Barkley, along with Robert Woods and Marqise Lee. They lose one offensive lineman on a line that gave up 8 sacks all season and Curtis McNeal returns after a 1,000 yard rushing season 2nd in the PAC behind LJ.

They return 8 starters on defense, including every starting LB and Secondary member. They were so young on D this year.

USCw is getting a lot of hype, and they absolutely should be.

1942, 1980, 2012 and then counting. 2013 will be the first year in the LeMay era or it will be Murray's senior year, so that is a good shot, but we lose a lot of people in 2013 such as JJ, tree, gilliard, rambo, a jones, commings, and smith

Yeah, depth is never an issue.

REALLY bothered them this year, ya know, #5 and all.

A BCS team that returns 9 on offense and 8 on defense.

I'd be shocked if USCw isn't playing in the title game next year.

I'm more confident in 2012 than 2013 for Bama. If Jones returns, Bama will be losing four long time starters on the OL for the 2013 season.

Alabama loses at least 6 starters on defense I do believe.

No one until the SEC eventually breaks off and becomes the next two expansion conferences in the NFL.

I read they are voting on Monday to decide whether or not to go ahead and give Matt Barkley the Heisman for 2012.

They're likely going to decide against it in case of injury.

Bama lost nine or ten starters after '09, the '10 defense was ranked top five in nation. Defense will never be a problem while Saban is there. The OL this year is very good, next year they good be great if Jones returns. Due to the offensive system and the typical Bama D, the OL is very important to the success of the team.

The scholarship reductions were postponed on appeal, its 10 per year for '13, '14, and '15. So no, they didn't bother them this year.

The underclassmen who were allowed to transfer without penalty haven't bothered them yet either. But they will.

That '10 defense gave up 35 to SoCar, 24 to LSU, and 28 to Auburn, all losses.

Not quite the same defense IMO.

Not in 2012 they sure won't.

I think most will pick USCw as their National Champion for 2012-13.

Looking at their schedule, and the amount of starters returning on both sides of the ball, especially offense, don't blame them one bit because I probably will too.

The secondary will be a major question mark but the front seven will still be very, very good for Alabama. A team with a potent passing attack will cause them problems but they'll be fine against everybody else.

You wish.

But not a chance, they are simply too loaded.

FSU and Texas have recruited the best athletes - if they can coach em up they got a shot.
