I have no problem with it. Our pitcher threw him the same damn pitch like 9 times in a row. Deserved to be taken yard.

Gonna guess OP was a shitty pitcher in his younger days and had a lot of guys bat flip on him. He's still just a salty old bitch.

As far as he hit that one, he deserved to pimp it a little. That was crushed

There is an LSU poster on this site with a sig pic of an LSU player flipping off a pitcher with a caption saying, "How's that no-hitter going for you", and you are bitching about a bat flip?
Don’t you have something else to do other than being a hypocritical arse?
Pretty sure that the local piggly wiggly has a new batch of chitterlings. Why not do everyone a favor and raise your cholesterol levels to atmospheric levels?

Was a clutch hit to tie the game. He should've done the Kent Murphy cartwheels during his dinger derby videos.

Are you of the opinion that a LSU pitcher has never tried to back batters off the plate or even thrown beanballs?
If so you are an idiot, if not you are a fricking hypocrite, which is it big boy?
Biggest bunch of crybaby fans in the SEC, go get a billboard to whine about it, that will show them.

This is an excellent thread!
It absolutely shows the difference in the baseball savvy fan and the casual observer who never really played much/any growing up.
Personally, if it wouldn't cost us the game, I'd have instructed my pitcher to put a #1 in his earhole.

quote:If I hit a ball that far I can assure you I would stand there and watch it. It was a no doubter, no need to run hard in case it hits the fence. Bat flips on no doubters are as common as hot dogs at a baseball game. Got no problem with it even if it's the opposing team's batter.
There’s a difference between getting excited and shouting or a fist pump or going crazy around the bases or with teammates and then there’s standing in the box bat flipping like your hot shite

I never understood why baseball fans get so butthurt from batter celebrations

ugh...this debate is the fricking worst. Always has been. Dont want a bat flip...dont hang one over the plate. Dont wanna pitcher staring into the dugout or yeling after a strikeout...rope one in the gap.

Well I’d prob sneer if it was an opposing batter but deep down I wouldn’t blame them.

To be fair, he hit the absolute snot out of the ball. One of the furthest HRs I’ve seen in the new box

Pretty sure we all played growing up.
And you would possibly give a guy a head injury for admiring a hone run he just hit? Jesus
