I tried to watch him against Georgia and man it was just bad. But I guess Georgia is making every offense look bad now days

He's not good. He has talent, but he's terrified of contact and is routinely throwing off his back foot.

Yeah I never understood that. He got benched at Oklahoma. Not sure why anyone thought he would do better in a league with better defenses.

I pointed this out before the season and some OK posters argued with me that it was Riley’s fault, that he was sabotaging Rattler so Williams could take his job. Crazy stuff.

Riley did a number on him. Riley's first QB commit, Stoops got Baker and Kyler... Spencer had a flashy frosh season, got the Heisman hype and seemingly quit working. Happy feet, can't read a defense, and remarkable unathletic.
I was hoping he could turn it around with SC....

This has been our experience.
Seems he's gotten by on talent more than he's ever really been coached. He has made some awful reads, and he's forced stuff where it isn't necessary or possible.

Its just so odd. It's obvious he is shell shocked. His frosh year he let it rip and was showed a lot of signs.

He can not read a defense to save his life just like JG for Tennessee used to be. Has physical talent, nothing else.

Rattler is fine if you put him behind a good offensive line.
Not superstar level, but he can play you winning football.
South Carolina doesn't provide him enough protection to allow him to play at that level.
As long as he is your QB behind that line, be prepared to see him running to his right whether he needs to or not.
