Bobby Boucher vs. Forest Gump

I figured this board needed a little change of pace.

Also....Boucher would take Gumps head off.

Gump could outrun Boucher, but if Boucher had him cornered he's done for.

Forest Gump. Bobby Boucher actually understood he was playing football and what the object of the game is. Gump just ran beause somebody told him to.

definitely bouche. Bryant coached gump up. I doubt Winkler did the same thing for bouche.

While Boucher may have been the superior player some recognition must be given for Gump's service in Vietnam and later contributions to the Gulf seafood industry. An extraordinary life.

I wouldnt say that Bryant coached him. Gump was in the special class. Bryant told him that when he gets the ball run until we tell you to stop. That is God given talent.

Boucher. Gump only played on 'Special Teams'!

Boucher took over defense, then defense while serving water & staring at Vicky Valencourt's boobies!

Boucher did it all though....offense, defense, special teams....and served water. That's an all-american right there son.

Gump was just a fast, scared white boy, while Boucher was one of the best players to ever put on the pads.

Yeah, thats how the movie portrayed it, but the book went a little deeper in providing a look at Gumps time at Alabama. Fine piece of Sports journalism by Groom!
