Based off one year you know all that? My word. What are the lottery numbers this week?

Depends on if you want to coach at a blue blood or at LSU.

Lol, ND hasn’t won shite this century! Blue Blood is a term people throw around when they have nothing else to show. Fact is with NIL and the portal there are no more blue bloods. That term is dead and gone

At first glance, it would appear to be LSU. They won the West and they beat Alabama. However, the West was dog shite last year. Alabama was not a great team. They were talented, sure. But as a team they were slightly above average. LSU was absolutely obliterated by UGA and Tennessee. And then, most embarrassingly of all, LSU was trucked by A&M. LSU finished a very modest 9-4, and won the West in arguably the weakest year of that division’s existence. Notre Dame, on the other hand, replaced old and saggy Brian Kelly with a young up-and-comer Marcus Freeman. After a slow start, Freeman has righted the ship. He’s recruiting at a high level and appears to have a very high ceiling. Notre Dame is very familiar with Brian Kelly’s ceiling. Brian Kelly has never won a big game at the FBS level. At least with Freeman they have hope that he could take their program to new heights. All in all, Notre Dame is likely the winner here.

I will not tell a great secret if I say that Alabama is not a great team this year either... Even despite some successes.

About Freeman - he's been at Notre Dame a long time, since 2021. Previously wasn't the head coach only. Still, I'm interested to see how he does with his job. He seems to have earned that head coaching job.

Hi all!

Of course, if I were a fan of a non-blue blood program I would want that to be true as well

Literally zero relation to last year or Brian Kelly. But let’s talk about clueless. It’s baseball season. Talk about something relevant. Oh wait.

The west wasn’t “weak” but it was certainly down. Last year was the first year since probably 2000 that pretty much everybody knew the west rep had zero chance in the SECCG.

You literally have no idea what literally means, do you?

I am responding to a dumb post by another LSU fan. If you don't like it or can't handle it don't come into the thread. It's not rocket science.

Oh, wait.

I mean, I get your point, but maybe you should remember:

2000
2002
2006

The swing back and forth has been cyclical as to which division has been tougher, but the response has been lately and the current state or which division is better, not which division rep might win. Something like twice in the last 4 years the east has beaten the west head to head. The #2 team from the east beat the #1 and #2 team from the west and the #1 team from the east trucked the #1 team from the west this past season. It's not too far out of line for people to say the east was stronger than the west.

West proponents insisted that the east has been weak even in years when we would have two teams that finished in the top 5. A lot of fans of east teams are now going to insist that the west is weak,(based on the same criteria west fans used) whether it is true or not. Payback.

Alabama is still an old fashioned style Blue Blood, no doubt. (Meant as a sincere compliment)

But, you also have to admit that a lot of shine (at the very least) has been taken off most of the teams traditionally thought of as Blue Bloods.

ND
USCw
Texas
Penn State
FSU
Nebraska
Michigan

You can make an argument for Oklahoma and Ohio State keeping their status, though. And maybe one or two can reclaim that status with a come back.

Yes we did.
We scheduled Oklahoma. The SEC nixed the contract because by the time the second game could be played Oklahoma would have been in the conference.

Probably the parents of Declan Sullivan who no longer have to be haunted by the knowledge their son’s killer is trampling all over his memory by still walking the grounds of Declan’s beloved school, as their highest paid employee no less

Weird that you omitted the part that included the quote “and beat LSU in 2021”, as if it had anything to do with last year. Are you brain dead? The argument was based off of Brian Kelly and last season. 2021 was irrelevant for both.
