Are their fans so delusional to believe that they are going to go from crap to competing for SEC championships ? Help me out here.

You idiots don't realize that Tennessee fans on this board are fairly grounded, and are calling for an 8-9 win season. The ones producing the hype are the "experts" and all their preseason lists and articles. But thanks for playing.

You are absolutely correct good sir. Will we avenge last years loss and start our season off with confidence? Or will we lose to our OOC opponent yet again and get deflated heading into the SEC? Will be fun to watch

I've seen a lot of comparisons to Alabama in 2007 and 2008. Maybe that's fair on some level, but when Alabama went 7-6 in 2007 it was a major disappointment from where that team was sitting in early November at 6-2.
We also knew it was more of a "when" not "if" with Nick Saban. A far more deep resume than Butch Jones. That was also years 1 and 2 for Alabama under Saban. Not years 2 and 3.

This season will determine a lot. You can't keep feeding bullshite to recruits if you keep losing. If they go 9-3 or 10-2 look out. If they go 8-4 or 7-5 the other coaches in this conference will be able to start negative recruiting.

I actually do think Tennessee is about to turn the corner. They have quite a bit of talent and should at least "contend" for the SEC in the near future.

I agree, the Vols are close. I think the OL will be too young this year, but next year we could easily play them twice.
