Really hoping Bama is the nine in Nashville. If we could win that, Sunday against UVA would be awesome.

Auburn/UF are probably the most dangerous SEC teams if they are even a little hot. Their ceiling though probably is elite 8/Sweet16
TN/UK are the teams who can make runs playing their avg quality games. I think at least 1 makes elite 8 maybe a final 4
Bama/TAMU are the teams whod could win by 30 or lose by 30 in any round.
Missouri/Arkansas are probably going to over achiever by 1-2 games but can't make a deep run

UVA is going to play in Charlotte NC not Nashville
Nashville isnt going to get a 1/16 , 8/9 set of games
UVA- Charlotte
Xavier- Det
Kansas- Wichita
Nova- Pittsburgh
The two Nashville top seeds will be Tennessee + UNC, maybe Cincy(?)

It does. Look at what south Carolina did last year.

I'd love to see that matchup. UVA plays great defense but if Sexton is on his game I don't know that there is a defense good enough to slow him down.

Uh, a tough draw can end your run prematurely. Especially if you’re seeded poorly. When we had to play Wichita State as an 8 seed a few years ago, that was a pretty bad draw for them (that whole thing was like the bracket of death).

SC had an incredibly favorable set of matchups. They definitely got hot, but you can't ignore their opponents we're great matchups for them

IDK, Packline that UVA runs is built to smother guys like Sexton who live in the lane.
If Bama supporting cast get hot from 3FG and step up though, they could definitely win. I just don't think Sexton. Can do it alone against their D

Bama plays pretty good defense too.
I can bet you UVA wants no part of an 8 or 9 seeded Bama in their bracket.

Played the first two games in South Carolina, iirc.
Duke fans were complaining that the games weren't in Charlotte.

Whoever does not get hosed by the refs when they play certain ACC and PAC teams.
Seriously, Hogs got hosed when they played UNCheats.

Sexton is a mismatch problem but the other players will need to step up.

Dang. I’ve been looking for that info and couldn’t find it. Oh well. CLT less fun and harder for me to get to. Might go anyway.

UVA is built defensively to beat a team like Bama. That would be their ideal matchup
The only thing that would scare UVA is if Petty decided to show up for a change. Bama isn't beating UVA just by Sexton playing well

A&M is a 1st round exit, or have you forgotten who their coach is?

The Gators are capable of beating anyone in the NCAA or losing to anyone. If the 3's fall it can be deadly. We can run the court pretty damn fast and I believe we are in the top five or ten in the country in not committing turnovers? We have to play defense with smaller lineups but it can be done, the question is will it be done?
Win lose or draw we have to appreciate being there.

Tennessee because they are the most consistent team and they have the better matchups.

Purdue sitting there in the Sweet Sixteen with that big 7 foot motherfricker and four guys shooting 40% from 3 - don't see us getting by them, barring a miracle.
I'd be happy just to win one, but if it's us against Tech in Round 2, I know I'll be pissed for us to lose.

Unfortunately for Kentucky, they have Arizona in game two. Alabama, if they get by Va Tech will have Xavier--also not good. If they get hot, Tenn and Auburn could both go past two games.
Posted on 3/11/18 at 8:08 pm to GregAl
I dont think that's correct. Mizzou gets Xavier in the 2nd round. Bama gets Nova I think?
