Some of you guys are killing me. Lacy has done enough as a back up to make a strong arguement that he's at the very least a good starting SEC back. Alabama offensive line looks to be on paper atleast one of the best if not the best O line in the country. Alabama has done a great job with their running backs under Saban. So my goodness it's not a very big stretch to say Lacy could lead the SEC in rushing next season.
That's what I'm saying, but they're quick to hate on him. And LSU fans won't admit that he's better than all of their backs individually. It's an opinion that really will never be proven or disproven since they all share carries.

I heard the same thing about Richardson before 2011. I don't know what the posters here were saying, but everywhere I looked said the same damn thing about Richardson.
bullshite. Only from idiots. Anyone with football knowledge knew he was better than Ingram. I even said it the year Ingram won the Heisman that TRich had far more talent.

Like I've been saying, Idk what people here said, but every Aubie, LSU fan, Arkansas fan, etc were saying that Richardson would suck because he couldn't stay healthy.

Lacy was a good second fiddle running back to Trent Richardson and that is all. He is not as great as some Bama fans want to think he is. If he breaks 1,000 yards this year, it is solely because of the offensive line. TJ Yeldon will be great.
I don't think Lacy is overrated nor do I think he'll lead in rushing. Lacy is a great back for 10 carries a game but I'm not sold on him being an every down back because he gets injured too much. By the 4th or 5th game, I expect Yeldon or Hart to get the bulk of the carries but until then, I think we'll have 4 guys getting around the same amount of carries.
Lacy has some good moves but he'll be injured too much to lead in rushing IMO. I think Davis will lead.

Ironic. Lacy had an injury last season, but it wasn't so bad that he couldn't play. Davis couldn't play.
In High School they both had an injury.
Davis appears to be injured more than Lacy, yet Lacy will be injured all the time, and Knile won't be?

In Knile Davis' only "full" year in the SEC, he averaged 6.5 yards per carry. 7.0 against Bama. 5.1 against LSU on 33 carries. Best bet is by far Davis.
Except the good oline he had then is gone. Now he has an oline who was pushed around by ole miss and Vandy.

Ok, I'm going to say it again. Trent Richardson wasn't healthy as a back up in 2010. Tell me, what happened in 2011? It's not being a fricking homer to pick the guy who DID play last season between the top three backs and say he'll lead the SEC in rushing while running behind the best O-Line in the country. I never said he was better than Lattimore or Davis.
Trent was healthy all year until PP hit him.

This is an opinion. I would take Ware and Fors and Hilliard over a back with Turf toe issues. Sorry turf toe isn't something that goes away. Also I've heard from Bama fans close to the program that says he has gained weight.

quote:It's not that hard when 2-3 of your linemen are Freshmen. Arkansas' O-Line was talented last year, just inexperienced and undersized. It won't be that way this year. Knile doesn't need a Bama O-Line to put up numbers. His vision and his ability to get through tight spaces are his weapons. He gets through the line, and makes good moves. The line will be good enough to get him enough space to run. Simply because he doesn't need that much. And to be honest, the line wasn't even that god in 2010. He constantly had to make people miss in the backfield.
Now he has an oline who was pushed around by ole miss and Vandy.

1) He hasn't gained any bad weight.
2) Of course you would. You're an LSU fan.

Eddie is an every down back and he could very well lead the sec in rushing this year bro. He is a beast and he is getting better.

That is my opinion and Davis might not lead but I don't think Lacy will either. The problem with Lacy is that with his style, he constantly had nagging injuries last year that limited his carries. I just don't think he'll be able to get 20-25 carries a game like TR or MI.

I hope he proves me wrong. It's not like with TR. I knew coming into the season that he would be an every down back but I'm not sure if Lacy can be or not. I'm glad we've got 3 real good ones to back him up to lighten the load.

I don't see Eddie Lacy leading the SEC in rushing yards simply because I don't think he can do enough to keep TJ Yeldon off the field. Lacy is good, but Yeldon will, or at least should get carries next year

Our OL will be pretty loaded this year actually.
Jason Peacock, Travis Swanson, and Alvin Bailey are a damn good trio.
Alvin Bailey is rated #2 OG on NFLDraftScout LINK
Travis Swanson is rated the #1 center for 2014 draft LINK
Our OL will be just fine for Knile, and TW8 might actually get some time in the pocket...uh oh.

Isaiah Crowell will lead the SEC in rushing this year.......crap!
