Lacy is overrated as frick by Alabama fans.

Didn't he have more rushing yards than any RB from LSU?

Ware and Ford had more yards than Lacy but they also had more carries.

The YPC says it all. Lacy has the most YPC in 2 seasons than any other back in the SEC.

Not really. If YPC was all that mattered then Felix Jones and McCalebb are two of the best to ever play in the SEC.

While that is an impressive stat, a lot of that can also be attributed to Ingram, Richardson and the Bama offensive line wearing down defenses.

Don't get me wrong, he will put up great numbers but don't expect him to average 7 ypc over the course of the season unless he only gets around 10 carries per game again.

The question is who leads the SEC in rushing. I never said Lacy was the greatest ever I said he leads in YPC and because he's the starter this season expect that to translate to the most yards in the SEC.

And yeah I don't see him averaging 7 YPC but at least 6 or 6.5 and that would give him more yards than Trent depending on if he's healthy enough to take that many carries.

Lacy and it won't be close. Hell I could lead the SEC in rushing as big as those holes are going to be.

Last year Lacy rarely played in garbage time.

I'd say someone from Florida

When was the last time a Florida player led the league in rushing?

I could see Lacy leading in yardage because he will get at least 230 carries, and he will be running behind dat O-line. I think Davis or Lattimore leads in TDs, Lacy leads in YPC.

Elat couldn't stay healthy AS A BACKUP, yet you have him leading the conf in yards and ypc? Color me shocked. I don't know who the bigger homer is, you , BHam Dore, bama85.
Also how is E Lacy gonna lead the SEC in yards when TJ Yeldon is better than every rb in the NFL. Including TRich

Between Lacy and Lattimore! I would have to give Lacy the edge because of our Oline and I am a homer!

Obviously.

Ok, I'm going to say it again. Trent Richardson wasn't healthy as a back up in 2010. Tell me, what happened in 2011? It's not being a fricking homer to pick the guy who DID play last season between the top three backs and say he'll lead the SEC in rushing while running behind the best O-Line in the country. I never said he was better than Lattimore or Davis.

He will also split a ton of carries with Yeldon IMO.

I think Yeldon gets 100 carries, but still, I think Lacy could lead the SEC in rushing if he gets enough carries. Though Lattimore should be the favorite to do so.

Some of you guys are killing me. Lacy has done enough as a back up to make a strong arguement that he's at the very least a good starting SEC back. Alabama offensive line looks to be on paper atleast one of the best if not the best O line in the country. Alabama has done a great job with their running backs under Saban.

So my goodness it's not a very big stretch to say Lacy could lead the SEC in rushing next season.
